Hotel location is very good than the imagination, the top floor view is good

Spent a lovely week at the Hotel du vin. Our room was clean and cozy, food was delicious and staff was very friendly, ready to fulfill every request we had. The bar was so good that most of the nights we preferred staying at the hotel rather than going out. Definitely coming back soon

On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant reception staff. We were extremely underwhelmed by our room, for the price that we paid - £188.00 for room only. It was certainly not worth it. We were hoping for some nice toiletries but only had a tiny bar of soap and a small pot of body lotion. The room itself wasn't in the best condition, the carpet was very warn and there was countless spiderwebs, we had to remove 5 spiders before we got into bed. We had a slight panic when we arrived and noticed that there was a wedding, we expected it to be really loud until the early hours but we couldn't actually hear them at all - which was a relief. Until 1:30am when the staff decided it was a good time to take the bins out... dragging them across the gravel outside our window. It's an old building so there's also lots of creaks and movement through the night, even our door was rattling with the wind. The spa facilities were lovely, and it was great that we could access these before and after check in/check out - one has to wonder if the cost reflects the use of the spa as opposed to the room itself. If you aren't going to use the facilities, it's not worth the cost. Breakfast was lovely - £30.00 for 2 people, expensive but i think it was worth it. Cooked breakfast was fast and really nice. The continental buffet was well thought out with lots of options to choose from and tasty pastries - not sure the Indie music playlist was quite appropriate to the setting though! I wasn't expecting to sit in a spa hotel listening to Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance whilst i had my brekkie.

Nice hotel, very good location. Just a short walking distance from the city center. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The building is well decorated. I liked the bar and the restaurant. It was a comfortable stay. The staff was very good, very helpfull especially Ms Fidan at the reception. She was very polite, kind and considerate. This was my first visit to Cambridge. She gave me precious hints and tips which helped me enjoy the city much more.

The room is very nice, clean, well-equipped, very close to the train station, the staff is very friendly, and the public space is also good! The breakfast is quite satisfactory, but there is a lot of dining space. Overall a great experience!

The facilities are relatively new, and the sanitation is good. The location is relatively close to Cambridge University, but a bit far from the train station. No breakfast. The window can't be opened, it's a little stuffy, I want to change to a room with an open window with the front desk, the front desk said that we booked on another platform, not on the Hilton platform, so we can't change. If you want to change, you need to add 50 pounds. The windows are slanted, so the curtains can't be close to the windows, and they don't block the light. The whole room is bright early in the morning, and it's impossible to sleep late. This is a big disadvantage. There is also an unreasonable design of the bathroom, which will make the ground full of water. A deposit of 50 pounds is required for check-in. There are stalls selling Cambridge cruise tickets when you come out of Cambridge Railway Station. Don’t be fooled, the price is more than double the price bought on the spot. Be sure to go directly to the venue to buy tickets.

Business stay with plenty of tables to work at. Excellent, polite, professional service from staff. The room was spacious with black out curtains.

Great place to stay to visit Cambridge. Lovely rooms and perfect location. They also provide a very good breakfast and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone wanting the full Cambridge experience!

We arrived at about 1pm knowing that we wouldn’t be able to check in until gone 3pm, so we came back at 6pm to be told there were no rooms clean or available for our party. While waiting in reception there was 1 member of staff who didn’t communicate what the hold up was and was unhelpful and agitated. They had also left a radio on the reception desk, so when they went out the back, we heard them talking about us to their colleagues, which was rude and unprofessional. We waited for another hour and a half before being offered 1 room, for 7 people. We took it as we were celebrating a friends birthday and need to freshen up before going to dinner. We got the rest of the rooms at 8pm. In the morning we had to wait a while for a breakfast table, and then when we were seated there was hardly anything at the buffet and we had to wait for food. While we were eating breakfast they were also doing building work and pulling down sections of the ceiling, just meters away. We were offered a discount on our room and a complimentary drink but this didn’t make up for the inconvenience, stress and rude service, when we were supposed to be celebrating our friends birthday. We won’t return here.
