Breakfast is OK, typical French breakfast, dessert is mostly, but it is more monotonous, not very fancy, if you want any special food, you need to ask the waiter separately. The room style and layout are good, belongs to the French retro style, but the area is not big, the facilities are more advanced than the domestic luxury hotel, is the tone of the rural retro. The picture is luxurious and comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful and small. The town is small and there are no scenic spots. The restaurant has some, it is OK. Leisure, quiet relaxation for a few days, you can go, other purposes are not recommended.

Our first stay in Nancy, and not the last. Beautiful old Hotel situated in the heart of Place Stanislas. Couldn’t ask for a better location. From check-in to departure the reception staff were extremely friendly and professional. We had a deluxe room which was spacious and extremely comfortable. Would recommend anyone staying in Nancy to choose this hotel.

The breakfast restaurant will be a bit crowded when the tour group is concentrated to eat, and the speed of serving can't keep up. Once the tour group leaves, the restaurant feels pretty good. There are not many types of food, but the quality is very good.

Vreemd hoor, er was wel tijd om mijn man te vertellen dat hij even zijn paspoort moest halen, maar zoals hier wordt gesuggereerd, geen tijd om te vertellen dat mijn kinderen niet welkom waren in het zwembad van de Spa. Meneer Julien GATINOIS, wij verblijven al heel wat jaren in goede hotels, heb zelfs gewerkt in één van de beste hotels in Washington D.C. , dus een zwembad met ”waterslides” is ook zeker niet wat wij zoeken. Wij zijn ook zeker bekend met ”adult only” hotels, maar zeker niet met een hotel waar mijn kinderen niet welkom zijn in het zwembad. Jammer dat gastvrijheid niet hoog bij jullie in het vaandel staat. Wij zullen in ieder geval hier nooit meer komen in Nancy en zullen ook niet kiezen voor een Best Western. Dit was de eerste keer bij jullie verblijven en ook de laatste. Review van week geleden: Mijn kinderen mochten niet het zwembad in om 17.00. Het was blijkbaar een adults only zwembad toen we al waren ingecheckt door mijn man en ik kater kwam met de kinderen. Erg onvriendelijk en ongastvrij. Kinderen mogen alleen morgenochtend even. Heb meteen maar gevraagd of mijn kinderen ook ergens anders niet welkom waren. We hadden juist geboekt voor het zwembad. We zullen hier in ieder geval nooit meer komen. Around 4:00 pm today your husband stopped quickly to ask if we have a room available for 4 persons for 1 night. We said yes and informed him of the price. He checked with you and came back asking us if we can hold the room. We said that we needed to tell more about our services and proceed to the registration but your husband was in a rush and insisted that he needed to park the car prior to anything else, not leaving us the time to explain anything about the hotel. Despite the fact that we had no registration properly done, we prepared your room for 4 persons, adding towels and installing the sofa bed. When all the family came back from the parking, we then proceeded to the payment, the check in, and informed you about the special hours for the children in the spa : at 8:00 am or at 9:00 am from tuesday to sunday, and at 10:00 am and 11:00 am on monday. We do have a spa, not a campground pool with waterslides. The place is dedicated to calm and relaxation : that’s why children are not forbidden but have a limited access. We are sure you can understand that. Anyway we finally had the opportunity to inform you about the special time slots for children : this was before you even go to your room. The hotel is a bit far from the central square of the city. It's about a half an hour's walk away. The configuration of the budget hotel, the reception staff are friendly and parking is convenient. However, the hotel room had no thick curtains, just a thin layer of inner curtains, poor shadows, and street lights turned on at night, which seriously affected sleep.

Stayed here for one night as part of a group. The room was very nice but the air con was on so high that it was freezing. The bed was very comfortable but hot and the sheet slipped because of the waterproof cover underneath. Why is that necessary? The bathroom was good and the shower was efficient. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and it was great to get fruit. However we were not made welcome in the restaurant in the evening. We were a group of 4 and we were told that as we were part of the group from the bus we could not have a meal and could only order a pizza and take it to our room. I do not like food in my room and I was eating with friends as we were all in different rooms. Eventually we were told we could eat it in the restaurant but we’d have to order it from the bar. So we went to the bar and waited for 10 minutes then we were told to go back to the table and they’d serve us. We were served eventually then waited for ages for the pizza and after all that it was quite disappointing. They also ran out of Coca Cola Zero. The most annoying thing was to at there were quite a few of us there from the bus and lots of others were eating from the normal menu. We felt like 2nd class citizens. Your restaurant let you down in my star rating.

I stayed two nights at the Hotel Mercure Nancy Centre Gare for a conference in October 2022. The hotel is very convenient for the station - only 2 minutes walk, for the conference centre - 5 minutes walk and Place Stanislas in the centre - 10 minutes walk. I had a nice big modern room overlooking La Rue Raymond Poincare which had the usual modern facilities one would expect of a 4 star hotel. The big double bed I had was very comfortable and there was a big T.V and tea and coffee making facilities. Good well-sized bathroom with a great shower and complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was really good and offered all the usual excellent French pastries, bread, cold cuts, fish, cheeses, fruits, boiled eggs, juices and hot coffee, tea and chocolate. In addition there was also scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. So all in all, a very pleasant stay.

Stayed overnight on our return to Calais, and found the hotel to be extremely busy. The rooms are standard Novotel rooms but our bathroom was quite small. The up side is that it does have ai-conditioning. The pool area is OK, but it is quite small. The food, again, typical of this type of hotel but ok. Expensive for what you get, and several area's, the stairwell's, need attention. Stated loud for the noise levels, but this was only in the main public areas. Would probably find somewhere else next time.
