Senem Akarsu: Manting Park was a wonderful experience. I would suggest that you spend a few hours walking around in the park and possibly bring something to lay on by the lake in the park to enhance your visit. I would recommend that you visit all of the locations within the park, as the temples are beautiful. There is also a bonfire show that takes places at the entrance of the park. Dinner is provided, which was the local food from the Dai ethnic minorities. The majority of the show takes place as you are eating your dinner, so remember to pay attention. It is a show of dancing, singing and acting performances. I bought the second class ticket to the show from the ticket booth right outside the entrance on the right.
Trip.com User: A little paradise in the heart of a little city. ^_^ I always pass by Manting Park, but it was just until recently that I went inside to give our visiting friend a simple tour before she goes to the airport. It was worth it! So many things to see inside the park, especially the fusion of Chinese, Thai, and Laos culture. I highly recommend to pass by Manting Park when you go to Jinghong.

A footpath as long as 4,000m winds its way amid tropical forests inside, where roaming along, one may get an intimate feel of the rain forest. Rare tropical plants dot either side of the pathway. One may even spot tracks left behind by wild elephants.

The Traveling Wilbury: If you find yourself visiting Xishuangbanna, a trip to Wild Elephant Valley is a must! Anyone can walk around in here for hours. The elephant ride and feeding an elephant will always be a highlight for me. Also the cable car ride across the valley was fabulous! I didn't see any wild elephants, but the ecosystem is incredible. The ride takes 35 minutes one way. The only thing I didn't like is the cable cars never stop... you must suddenly hop on and hop off. Other than that little dangerous part, it's great! You won't regret coming to see Wild Elephant Valley at least once! 😃😃😃🐘

GerryOnTour: I really enjoyed this because I'm interested in extreme fishing and Ive caught many of the huge carp, catfish and arapaima on display, in Thai lakes. The place is spotlessly clean and odourless. The fish and reptiles have very good living conditions. Some impressive giant salamander there too. There were also beautiful girls from Russia performing a mermaid dance. All the staff are helpful and friendly with directions as there are not enough English signs.

Senem Akarsu: The best part of Xishuangbanna to be honest. There are stalls all around and also cafes. The attraction stretches all the way to the river. You can spend hours walking around and won't get bored. There are numerous spots to take photographs. You should also walk along the wooden platform on the water towards the river and cross the countless bridges. There are also streets outside of the area also. Certainly worth a few days. The food is amazing. Definitely try local Dai food and the fried banana pancake. I didn't get to try the cold noodles but hopefully next time I visit.

Starlight Night Market is one of the growing night markets in Xishuangbanna and one of the attractions in the tourist resort of Gaozhuangxi. It is usually open at 7:00 in the evening. The night market has mostly food snacks and diverse handicrafts. It is much nicer than the Binjiang Night Market. Maybe because there are almost tourists, the environment is not messy. And come to Xishuangbanna, the night market is full of local atmosphere. The night market is full of owners of the stalls. Some of them are locals and some come from all over the world like tourists. The night market contains many stall owners hawking crafts, national costumes, gemstones and other odds and ends.

Back to the temple, on the left every night from 8.30 PM there are folkloristic ants of the region minorities. On the right, with food banks, typical BBQ and fresh fruit gelatine. It's also good restaurants on the river just before you get to the real market.
