Eiffel Tower

Opening Hours: Open from 9:30am-10:30pm

Ticket Price: 10.2 EUR

Recommended Length of Stay: 1-3 Hours

Location: Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris

The Eiffel Tower is one of Paris’ most quintessential landmarks. If the Notre Dame is a symbol of ancient Paris, then the Eiffel Tower is the symbol of modern Paris. The tower was originally built as the entrance to the 1889 World’s Fair and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, making it an important cultural symbol of France. From atop the wrought iron tower lookout, visitors get an astounding panoramic view of the Paris cityscape.

Reviews from Real Guests:

Trip.com User: To see Paris at a glance, you need to climb to the very top of the Eiffel Tower. Climbing the tower was my dream and now it came true. On the second day of our stay in Paris, we first went to the Eiffel Tower. Walked from the hotel, admiring the beauty of Parisian palaces, buildings, bridges and parks. The Eiffel Tower is the heart of Paris! Despite the fact that we constantly see her image in our everyday life and are already used to it, but the "live" Eiffel Tower does not cease to amaze with its beauty and grandeur ...

Quinissa: The icon of Paris! Make sure you see the tower when you come to Paris. It is really magnificent, the height, the details. Also, make sure you see it at night time as well, when the lights up. IT IS EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL. If you wait until midnight, there will be lights twinkling right at 00.00. The best view point is high up across the river. There will be some musicisans playing at nights too there, making it more romantic.

Day 1 | Afternoon

Now we come to another great highlight in the city: Louvre Museum.

Louvre Museum

Opening Hours: Wed 9:00 AM - 9:45 PM, Thu 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Fri 9:00 AM - 9:45 PM, Sat - Mon 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Ticket Price: 15 EUR

Recommended Length of Stay: 3-8 Hours

Location: Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris

The Louvre is a “super museum” that stands among the British Museum in London and the Met in New York as one of the three greatest art museums in the world. The Louvre has an enormous collection of more than 400,000 pieces and exhibits that span a period of more than 1,500 years. There are collections of works from the ancient Greek, Roman and Egyptian civilizations, including da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”, Antioch’s “Venus de Milo”, and “Winged Victory of Samothrace”, dubbed the “three treasures” of the museum. The famous films “Phantom of the Louvre” and “The Da Vinci Code” were also filmed here.

Reviews from Real Guests:

Trip.com User: The best experience ever! The Museum is well-kept both inside and out. If you're traveling for the first time, it's understandably complicated, but don't forget to pick up the maps provided in the lounge area. It is free for students and anyone under the age of 25 from the EU. One of the world's most prestigious museums. Thousands of paintings and sculptures from French, Greek, Spanish, Italian, and other cultures are housed at this museum. When visiting, make sure to dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of walking.

Trip.com User: We visited Louvre as a family, tickets we bought online from the museum's website. We recommend not to use the entrance at the pyramid but to enter underground via the subway station, in our case it significantly reduced waiting time. The museum is amazing, however, the room of the Mona Lisa is very crowded. If you have little kids, take the special family lane. It allows you to directly skip the crowds and take a photograph of the painting with your family.

Some exquisite sculptures are also displayed on the square in front of the museum, among which the six bronze statues representing six continents are not to be missed. The gorgeous golden bell used in the railway station has also been well preserved and is still in use today, which is worth seeing. Entering the museum, you will find that there are still traces of the railway station.
