Torridon Estate B&B Rooms and Self Catering Holiday Cottages

The house is huge and very quirky. And a bit scruffy in places. The host was welcoming. Our room was lovely. The shower was difficult to get to the right temperature and the water flow was very low which made washing my hair difficult. Not enough pressure to feel liked I had rinsed my hair properly. The breakfast was delivered to the room and whilst my husband enjoyed it, it was not to my liking. Overnight oats, two oat cakes, four bread rolls, cheese, salami, grapes, orange juice and coffee.

This place is just lovely!! Very quirky but our best stop over on our trip round the NC500! Breakfast brought to our room and was lovely being able to eat it looking out on a stunning view in our pj’s!! Host was really down to Earth and made us feel right at home!! Had the best sleep ever! Will be coming back!!

We felt like royalty and were welcomed to a huge room with comfortable bed and large bathtub/shower. This location was a hunting lodge for royalty and is being renovated by the owners. Yes, they have children, and you are sharing their house, but we found the whole experience to be a wonderful event. Location has river running through it and a local artist that lives with them also. Host were very welcoming and down to earth. I think there was a prior review that talked about the place not being clean. That was not our experience, don't pass up the opportunity to see this historic house and lodge and stay where you can enjoy the solitude of the area.

Five start this is not BUT… If you are looking for a quirky but comfortable stay this could be it! A large, very secluded, family home in which we were made welcome. We did have a slight issue with the cold water which is fed from the local stream but this was resolved quite quickly.

Sadly only stayed one night in this fabulous house. Felix was accommodating. The room was spotless with wooden floors I loved but my husband didn't, you have to have something on your feet! The bed was comfortable and I loved the pillows. The bathroom was perfect with a fabulous shower, my husband was a fan of the flooring in there, I was not so much. We were served a delicious andvery generous breakfast in our room in the morning. Would have loved to spend more time exploring the extensive grounds. Perhaps we'll come back for longer some time

Beautiful estate, followed the 8km walk part way to the bridge. Stunning waterfall and great views further up both of the mountains and back down to the loch. Path was well maintained but sturdy shoes required. Worth a visit.

Magical Highland guest house. We had an amazing three nights here. The -huge- bed was so comfy- the room enormous, comfortable, clean with beautiful views. We loved every minute of our stay. Remote location, fantastic hosts, a really memorable experience. Dearly hope to return some day x

Thank you Sara and Felix for a wonderful 3 nights with our 8 clients on a walking holiday. They loved the experience and especially the candlelit dinner and music on the last evening in the House. Looking forward to being with you next year too!

We had a wonderful 10 days touring the North Coast 500 but our unfortunate decision to stay in this filthy house was by quite some distance the absolute low point. I could write off the huge crack in the washbasin and the cracks in the windows as period charm. Maybe I could overlook the brown water that comes out of the toilet cistern. Perhaps it's recycled rain water. But the dirty floor, the debris between the wooden floorboards, the grime round the window frames, the flapjack crumbs on the headboard shelf, the thin film of dirt punctuated by greasy fingermarks on the bedside lights, the matted hair in the washbasin plughole .. I could go on but I think you've got the picture by now. Unlike everywhere else we stayed, there are no breakfast options. Just "breakfast". I have no idea what it was because I didn't want to take the risk. We didn't hang around to find out, we were out of there as early as possible. I couldn't wait to leave. Hilariously, there's a notice in the room asking you to remove your bed linen and place it in a bag before you leave. At £165 a night for a dirty room, you can do your own housekeeping, thanks. I suppose it's encouraging to know that they do at least clean the sheets from time to time. The staff aren't particularly friendly or welcoming, either. I wiped my feet on the way out. This is a really nasty, dirty, run down place. Don't let it ruin your holiday.
