Poas Paradise

I only stayed for one night unfortunately. I would have definitely stayed there for longer. My arrival wasn't the best, as I discovered that I'd lost my credit card. But the hotel/B&B is partly isolated and sits looking over San Jose. I would have loved to have watched the sunset on the patio as the hotel seems so chilled and relaxed. The room is a good size and the bed is really comfortable. The odd thing about the room was the bathroom. I should have taken some pictures as I've never seen a bathroom like it haha. The decor was partly wood and black. Not entirely sure it works, but it didn't stop me liking the room. Breakfast was lovely and as I said previously it would have been great to stay there for a 2nd night

This is a great place to stay and is one of the best values of any place I have stayed anywhere in the world. I spent three night here, and the facilities and food were excellent. The room was large with a fantastic view out the wall-sized window. The nice bathroom was clean with very hot water. The Poas Paradise Hotel is only around 45 minutes or less from the San Juan airport, and the location is close to the Poas Volcano National Park and several coffee tours. The owner and staff were all very helpful with local sightseeing tips and made a reservation for me to visit the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The included breakfast was very delicious, and I had a salmon dinner here one night that was also excellent. What is also nice is that it is located on a small hill and has its own private road, so the surroundings are quiet and the view is wonderful. This is the place to stay in this area; you will love it.
