Almar Hotel Apartamento

This hotel is in a good location, close to the main town, the beach and old town. It is however old and in need of repairs, especially the bathroom. The toilet roll holder was broken, we didn't report it, but we were blamed for it and was asked to pay £19 to replace it. I was very offended by that, it was not our doing and I highly doubt a plastic holder would cost that much. The toilet seat was also partly broken and the walls were cracked and the bathroom was musty and smelled like sewage. Also the hotel asked for £150 cash app upon check in. Very inconvenient and not a usual practice. Lastly this hotel is full of teenagers and are drunk and partying until 6 am. The noise is out of control. No one did anything about it. Will definitely not recommend to families staying here.

Really special place beautiful Albufeira the hotel was just what we wanted very quite ,lovely room and close to everything

First couple of days apartment was fine then the flys came hundreds of them had to live out of of suitcases cause you couldn't keep anything hanging up informed reception gave us spray to spray no good on arriving home informed company I booked with to complain only to be told that when I complained there they said they moved us to another room and we were happy they were trying to say it's a hot country you get flys going to albuferia 20 years now never seen it before

We were lucky with the room we got it was room 409, perfect location with a nice enough view. One thing I will point out was all the flys in the hotel area but not too sure if that was just over the heat but I overheard a few guests saying there room had loads. Room was spotless & staff were nice & friendly. downside was there was no bar or restaurant at the hotel this time of year & my biggest issue was that it was only one key per room & you had to hand in your key every time you left the building. As for Albureira town itself I would not recommend nor would I stay there again as it was all stags & hens, we were told by locals that the new town used to be like this but it's now the old town as well. Very messy with loads of drunks all day long. Not many activities to do in the area either & the beach was only ok. Overall a nice stay but would not be staying in the town again. It's like Benidorm 2.0

Pool area was fine but could do with cleaning up around it view's from it were beautiful as from our Apartment/Apartment was good clean balcony could do with a makeover after a couple of days our apartment was swarming in flys there were everywhere reported to reception to be told its normal when it's warm going to albuferia 20 years now never a problem anywhere else we stayed not just a couple of them hundreds of them so definitely won't be returning

The hotel is perfect only for its location. The staff were mostly kind, one lady however took our key when checking out, without saying a single word, not even a smile. The hotel lacks any character or warmth. The room was a good size but badly dated. The view from the balcony was covered by a very large tree completely blocking the view of the ocean and surrounding areas. The pool was very dirty and seagulls left mess all around it.

Very nice apartments, absolutely spotlessly clean, yes bathrooms are outdated but so clean, lovely reception staff, great location. Will definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed it. Great size apartments. Within walking distance to old town, fabulous pool area.

Arrived at hotel with no idea what it was like, old dated place but clean and tidy. Very inconspicuous entrance hard to see, but near to old town. Stayed for 7 days very quiet, had a nice pool, with adequate sun beds. Nice polite staff. No eating or drink facilities. A major problem was the fact that we had to pay 150 euros each on arrival. Me at 75 yrs of age and my nephew and friend both middle aged, total 450 euros. When asked why, was told it was policy in case of damage. We were hardly going to run wild but our ages and minimal protest fell on deaf ears, ie no money no room. We had money returned on departure. Not a good welcome and in my mind unnecessary especially for a family arriving with a set budget.
