Great staff. We enjoyed eating in each night. Breakfasts were good and beds were comfortable.

Very friendly staff and excellent value for money. Everything was clean and well presented and food was very good. Definitely be back.

Great value stopover! My comments are similar to others, the hallway and stairs really need an update and at the very least vacuuming! I had the single room, perfectly adequate for my 1 night stay! Room layout could be a bit better to make the most of the view from the window but other than that absolutely fine. I ate in the pub restaurant, there was a funeral wake on which had overrun causing a knock on with evening food availability and the team were short staffed due to illness but they worked hard to get everyone sorted! I had steak and it was lovely.

What an amazing stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful. A hidden gem in the midlands. Was back for the first time in 40 years and Chequers made it a memorable one for sure!!! They are very hands on. I stayed in london at a marriot hotel after we left Fladbury and the service wasn’t even close. And I paid 4 times the amount in london. Cheers to Chequers!!!

It was just an overnight stay. It was ok, basic tv, plenty of hot water which was a bonus and beds were comfortable but the entrance and up the stairs to room the carpet was grim, the room was tired, definitely needs attention. But i guess at just over £60 this is the standard that you get. I am behind the times!!!!!

The pub is set in a quiet road of a delightful village. The restaurant and bar area are extremely clean and inviting. I was welcomed by a very friendly member of staff who showed me to my room. When going through to the accommodation area the carpet gives an unfortunately poor first impression. It is light grey and quite plush and not at all hard wearing. It has got very stained and is poorly fitted, especially on the stairs which is hardly surprising seeing that it is an old and unique building. The same carpet was used in the bedrooms and was much cleaner and nice and soft for bare feet. A darker more hard wearing carpet might give a much better first impression. I had an amazing evening meal constant of a locally made lamb & mint pie and chips with fresh veg, followed by a chocolate caramel fondant. Fantastic quality food with friendly and attentive service. I enjoyed a pint of quality beee in the bar later in the evening and again the staff weee very friendly. When I enquired about the breakfast awevibgvtines, I realised that I would need to leave before the breakfast was served. Without requesting it, I was immediately offered a refund for the cost of breakfast. I was more disappointed that my early start made me miss what promises to be a delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay at The Chequers Inn again and while-heartedly recommend it. The rooms are fairly basic but that is reflected by the very fair pricing.

Great single room with plenty of space but best of all, quiet. Staff lovely and dinner was superb.

We stayed for 3 nights,When we arrived we did not get a good impression the carpet from the front door and upstairs was very dirty ,the carpet on the stairs was not secure.The first night we had no sleep because there outside light was on all night coming in through window ,the curtains did not have enough clips on them so was hanging of rail.There was cobwebs all over the room ,they had a wardobe in the room but it was very dirty inside so we could not unpack.The bath had a shower mat but it was so dirty we removed it the toilet would not plush properly the ceiling fan was covered in dirt.When we was leaving i decided to check the mattress to my horror it had matress toppers on it and it was covered in what looked like urine stains all over it,i pulled them off to find a large urine stain on the mattress, I called the person in charge and showed him i asked him would you have slept on that and he said no.I was told a girl had a accident on it and they had it cleaned up but stain would not come out.My wife was absolutely distraught as this was our Wedding Anniversary. This is just a few examples among many.I did get a refund of half my money but it did not make up for what we t through.In future i will always check the mattress before we stay anywhere.

Clean bright single room was very comfortable and clean with view over yard and grass seating area and distant hills. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious.
