Generally really nice hotel. Lovely staff, very helpful. Food good and loads of choice, always salads and a few choices for main courses plus veggie options. You could come down anytime and there was always plenty. Would be great if there wasnt cream or cheese in so many dishes but hey i guess thats just France! (Im dairy intolerant!!). If you go all inclusive lunch was great too. Wine very drinkable you can have as much as you want with lunch and dinner. If you wanted a pack up you can request a box each day and make your own sandwiches or salad from the sandwich bar each day. Afternoon tea cakes also available. We got in late at 10 and there was a buffet laid out for late arrivals which was lovely. We went as a family group (no kids) Rooms good and warm, a couple of the mattresses were not straight making sleeping uncomfortable for a couple of my family ie collapsed to the side or in the middle but other than, basic but nice and clean. Would have liked either a kettle or access to hot water as there was nothing the rest of the day once breakfast closed, only buying tea or coffee in the bar! Spa nice, you get free access a few evenings and daytimes if you want, book in advance but we always got in. Sauna, steam and jacuzzi available. Ignore other reviews re lifts as there are 3 and all were fine, not crowded at all plus there are stairs available if you want them! If you've got children there was entertainment every evening for them plus stuff like ice creams available with meals. (For adults too). Would definitely visit here again. Thanks for a great stay.

The Hotel Club MMV Les Melezes is located centrally in Arc 2000. One side backs onto Olympic Square and the other towards the 'main' road. There is a cable car down to Arc 1950. The food was good with lunch or picnic included and free wine on tap. Whilst not vast, there was plenty of variety in food, with a salad bar and dessert counter, including ice-cream fridge. Tea and cake is laid on each day but you have to pay for the tea/coffee. Entertainment is laid on every night, especially for the kids. Our room was spacious, with safe and small tv but only French channels. The bathroom clean and the over bath shower, powerful. There is free wifi throughout the hotel, with enough bandwidth to stream tv. There are sufficient sockets but none at bedside. There is a sauna spa but you are only allowed 3 visits to the sauna and only one of those can be after skiing, i.e. after five o'clock. There is a ski locker room in the basement. Reception pointed this out There are ski racks that will easily fit 2 sets of skis and poles. You need a lock for the ski rack but these are available from reception. There is also a boot rack but these are insecure. Not quite ski in/ski out, it is a short walk to the start of the slopes and down some steps. There is also a travelator to return you to the same point.

Hotel very well located in the station. We loved the variety and high quality of local and organic produce at every meal. The only thing missing is a terrace to have a drink outside. We will come back.

** I take no pleasure in writing this but you need to know ** On arrival I locked my noise-cancelling headphones, passport and house keys in the room safe, setting a new pin code. 2 days into our holiday I went to get my headphones, found the safe door to be unlocked but pushed closed with only my passport and house keys. When I notified the reception team of the theft and noted their disappearance from a locked safe, they dismissed my claim as “impossible” as only the manager has the administrator code. I was so aghast by the lack of empathy I almost started to think it might have been something I’d done, did I / didn’t I lock the safe; I absolutely know I did lock it btw…. With hindsight I wished I’d asked how often the manager code is changed and later one of our party researched the type of safe and noted there is audit trail for lock/unlock actions that I should have asked to view. Their follow-up odd advice was to re-check the room and “…maybe they reappear somewhere in the next days”; they never did. To support my insurance claim, I asked for help to submit a police report; they were not interested in helping and gave conflicting (and incorrect information) regarding the local arc2000 police with me finally told to visit arc1600. I used the free shuttle (good to know if wanting to visit the other resorts by foot) but the reception team neglected to tell me thefts can only be reported between 3pm and 5pm to the Gendarmerie with no exceptions. This resulted in a wasted morning when I could/should have been skiing; I was on holiday after all. I eventually filed my theft with the Gendarme who also believed my claim to be improbable from a locked safe, wanted me to sign their ‘deposition’ without having read it first and then concluded with “are you sure about this? I hope for you, this information is correct or there may be problems”. I put (some of) this down the language barrier but I wasted a full day skiing, was made to feel like I was lying and left for home feeling quite upset by the experience and total lack of support. All I know is I locked things in the safe when I arrived but expensive things were missing when I checked later and the safe had been unlocked. A room safe is supposed to offer increased security but in my case it didn’t. To make matters worse the hotel staff were completely disinterested, seemed indifferent to there having been a room theft and refused to believe there might be a security issue in the hotel.

Past reviews on this hotel have been critical but I was pleasantly surprised with finding everything generally good. Accommodation was a decent size and clean, although space was a bit limited for items of clothing. The boot room is tight for the size of hotel but liked the idea of the gates to secure skis/poles with your room number. The buffet meals on the whole were good too with lots of variation and a cook will serve specials most evenings. Also there’s a choice of free wines. During meals friendly staff worked tirelessly to clear and provide all that was needed throughout. There is a spa (it has to be booked in advance though) and there’s evening entertainment every night in the bar below the dining area albeit a bit Butlins and family oriented. The high location is good covering a huge area but be warned when the weather is bad you can get trapped in the valley as very few lifts operate. It’s good value and we would go back but would consider the lower resort of Les Arc 1600 rather than 2000 as this seemed to keep more lifts open during these times.

Having read the rather critical reviews of this hotel, I went there with some trepidation. I’m pleased to report that the Hotel was really much better than I had expected. The room was quite spacious although a bit short of storage spaces, the food was good (including vegetarians) with lots of choice and plenty of food, free red, white or rosé wine, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location is absolutely first class. This is not a posh Hotel but it’s really good value for money with one or two minor things that could be better such as a more spacious ski room. But for this sort of money you can’t expect a lot more. Oh, and unlike many hotels in Austria and other countries, they don’t expect you to pay for water!

Overall a good experience and the team is really willing to perform a good service which is appreciated. The restaurant organisation is not ideal (too much waiting, too noisy) and the room’s floor (carpet) was not comfortable (air too dry and not so healthy because of the carpet). It is a good place to stay with the family!

Not enough tables so you were forced to wait in line at least 20 min every evening before it opened, or risk not having a table. The line at the buffet barely moved because there was always a kitchen help cutting meat or organizing special plates in the middle of the buffet which forced everyone to wait in line even if they wanted something else. Frustration causes people to cut in line, with some grabbing everything they can get (and then not eat it later..). These frustrating dinners ruined an otherwise very nice experience, the staff is super friendly but it doesn’t compensate. Finally the elevators are too few and poorly managed, causing a long wait during busy times

We really enjoyed our week at the MMV Melezes. We had a great room with a small balcony on the 7th floor over-looking the slopes. The distance to the pistes was as good as it can be really unless you go for ski in ski out, just a short walk and you’re on the nursery slopes and can ski to the lifts. The only slight drawback is it was noisy most nights in the early hours of the morning with people leaving (I think) the night club across the road. There’s nothing the hotel can do about that and to be honest it didn’t bother us hugely, it was just enthusiastic apres-skiers noisily chatting as they went home and didn’t last too long. The food was decent - enough to fuel us every day at breakfast and refuel in the evenings and having wine, beer and soft drinks included was a bonus. We also enjoyed using the hot tubs and sauna down at the MMV Altitude. You have to book for this but the plus side is it manages the numbers in there so it is genuinely a chilled out way to end the day before dinner. We went four times! The biggest plus of the hotel though is the staff, without exception they were friendly, helpful and cheerful. They made us feel really welcome. A particular thank you to the lovely gentleman from the restaurant (annoyed with myself for not getting his name but he was young, curly light brown hair in a pony tail and glasses!) who went out of his way to show us how to get to MMV Altitude when we went for our first visit to the spa. Thanks to all the staff for a great week. Ace to be back skiing!
