Equivalent to the University of Auckland student dormitory, because the school itself is in the city center, there is no traditional campus, nearby apartments are used as student dormitories or rented to foreign workers. In the dead end, there is a steep road, and a nearby Okay Takeway is more cost-effective. It is about 15 minutes walk to Queen Street, which is a cost-effective choice. Don't stay as a hotel, just as short-term rent, there is no service at all, be careful when choosing a room type, do not choose to share a unit with others. If I come to Auckland again, I think I will still choose.

Location is in the city of Parnell, more than half an hour's walk from the CBD. This is the palace of the Queen of Tonga. It is a relatively simple holiday home, 3 floors, wooden structure, high lift, kitchen to cook by yourself, shared bathroom - good hot water, washing machine, garden. There is a supermarket nearby. If you want to cook for yourself, you can go back and buy ingredients. There is also a very lively street nearby, with some cafes, restaurants and small shops. Less than five minutes walk, you can go to the Holy Trinity Church and St. Mary's Church. Overall is good. The service is basically invisible, the store is small, and no service personnel can be seen. Upon arrival, the room was ready and clean. Other self-help is just fine. There is a small heating in the house, very intimate.

Overall, it was pretty good and very cost effective. Helpful staff. • Luggage storage room available. Laundry service avail on site (4 bucks for washing machine, 4 bucks for dryer & 2 bucks for washing powder), Ironing service was free of charge. • Toothbrush & Toothpaste were available upon purchase @ the reception. Hot water, box fan, kettle, small fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, clean towel, soap, shampoo were all avail. The first two nights I stayed, I had to use a shared bathroom, however, it was very clean. After that I extended my stay where I was moved to another room which included a bathroom. Also, perfect location as it is situated on the busiest street in the city centre where you'll find a lot of restaurants & shops nearby even supermarkets. * The down part was that it gets very noisy at night, you could hear the traffic & people on the street screaming. Plus, the mattress wasn't in its best shape.

Where to begin? I agree pretty much with every other 1 star rating. I was staying on the 19th floor (with one lift btw, which never works properly). During heavy rain, rain pours in from the ceiling into the landings. Often it smells like crap is seeping out the pipes. Often I would say hello to the front-desk, only to be met with vacant looks and sneers. I'd ask for change for the laundry and instead of handing it to me, they'd chuck it on the counter without so much as a thank you. I'd have mail go missing, and when it arrived, looked like it had been tampered with (with sello-tape re-sealing it). The internet is rubbish, and expensive. Often I've heard the front-desk using excessively bad language to people they talk to on the phone, or in person. It's like Fawlty towers on steroids.
Parnell Pines Hotel

We had a twin room for two friends going to a concert. The room was very plain and basic , but for us that was ok as it was really only somewhere to sleep that night. We didn't spend any time in the room other than to sleep. No air con in the room we had - not sure about the others. Directly across the road is the charming historic Parnell Village. We were able to walk to the CBD to catch the concert bus and a taxi back was around $15. There are a couple of cafes close by for coffee/breakfast,etc. The main thing is the room was clean. It's not a conventional hotel with a bar, restaurant, gym, lounges but is good value for money if you just need basic overnight accommodation.

The room facilities are very complete, there are washing machines, clothes dryers, parking spaces are few, only a few, there are many paid parking lots next to it, the university is nearby, very convenient. . .
