Hampton Inn by Hilton Austin NW Near the Domain Reviews

I was extremely upset to see a movie with nudity and a scene of a nude man and a woman ********** (AKA porn) on the lobby / breakfast room television. I was even more upset when after asking the the manager, Diana, to change the channel she came into the area and I instead of just changing the channel to something more appropriate, asked the man seated behind me if it was okay for her to change the channel as if something like that was up for a vote among guests instead of hotel policy. To say I was angry at the way she mis-handled this would be an understatement . Despite the fact I stayed at this Hampton at least a half dozen times last year or so , I won’t be returning. Keep porn off public televisions and teach managers how to deal with matters of corporate policy would be my suggestion Hampton/Hilton. Otherwise the location is good and the rooms are clean. Too bad they allow unclean programming to be played on their television in the public area. Thankfully no children were in there at the time this occurred.

There is nothing to recommend in Austin. Except for the State Capitol and UT Austin, which can barely be photographed, there are no other attractions. The city may feature music bars, but I don’t like clubbing, so I can’t enjoy this fun. The hotel is average, far worse than the Hampton in China The sunset at the airport is beautiful

I was in town to attend a professional development course held at the Domain. The hotel was clean, the staff courteous and professional, and the room was quiet comfortable. It was an enjoyable stay

Very friendly staff, enjoyed the breakfast, comfortable and quiet room and easy parking, close to the freeway so we could get to our spots easily whilst on vacation.

Enjoyed the property and great location with quick access to the Domain area and ample parking. Clean room and comfortable bed. But fitted sheets kept coming undone as if elastic was giving out. This was a little frustrating but a good experience overall.

Liked the ability to check in and out plus access room and building with digital key.

Very pleasant staff throughout my stay. Room and bathroom are quite large and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Facility is clean and welcoming. Breakfast was sufficient. I appreciated coffee in the room and always available at the front desk. Convenient location for travel in or out of town near Mopac and 183. I’ll stay again when I’m in town.

Horrible pillows!!! Not a fan of Hampton Inn square throw pillows for sleeping. Makes for uncomfortable night of sleep. Friendly staff.

staff was great. We were told our room would only be cleaned on request, but one of the days they cleaned even though we didn't ask. (Better than NOT cleaning if we needed it but not necessary.)

Our family trip to Austin was made even more amazing by having a clean, comfortable hotel room to come back to. The staff was friendly and housekeeping was attentive to our needs. Thank you for a great stay.

The room was clean. The electric blind would no go up even after asking for it to be fixed when we got there!? The bathroom was clean but the sink counter was about the size of 2 tubes of toothpaste. Only shelves for storage were packed with clean towels. No place to put your personal bathroom items. The hot water tank must be 100 feet away because it took about a minute for the low pressure water to get hot. The LOW pressure shower was to be used by hand I guess. The bath tub had no anti-slip surface although the bathroom had plenty of grab handles and hooks for hanging your stuff. I guess the bathroom would take 30 seconds for the staff to clean. The bed was ok but the top sheet and bedspread were sewn together with a thick “comforter” sewn between making it hard moderate the warmth. The cafe was actually pretty good and staff were helpful.

Will definitely be staying here next time we come to Austin! Love how clean the room was and the staff was very helpful and cheerful.
