I have stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the country and this was right near the top. My only critique is the homeless population overwhelmed the area. Maybe work with the city to clean that area up. Otherwise this hotel was the epitome of old world elegance in abundance. 

Our stay at  the Driskill was a great experience!  This hotel is so eloquent and classic.  The bar is one of a kind with the best Old Fashions.   It's like stepping back in time but it is timeless.   I would highly recommend putting this hotel on your bucket list.  :)

Stayed here during ACL and loved the hotel.  It is a historic piece of the city with excellent service.  The 1886 cafe has wonderful breakfast/brunch menu and a great decor as part of the hotel.  Explore history at your leisure.
