This hotel is nice but not a great value, paid just under $300 for king bed

Very good location and pleasant stuff.

Our room was so cute and cozy!!! We chose one with a view, and waking up to the sounds of waves was awesome. The staff was super nice and helpful. The common area with seating was such a nice tough and so clean. I will be coming back!!

Classic "motel" type spot. Not accessible due to stairs. Small room and bathroom, but fine. Friendly staff. Breakfast was pre-packaged muffins and juice only.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Mac Rae for the evening. The staff was welcoming, our room was ready for early check in, and the hotel and room were clean. They offered coffee/orange juice with pastries in the morning. Overall great experience. Would stay there again.

This hotel was perfect, the rooms, while small, were very clean. The hotel is old but well kept. You do have to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs. The people are wonderful and I would highly recommend this place.

I stayed at the Hotel Mac Rae for the Avalon 50k trail race. Check in was super easy, and the staff even got up extra early to make sure the runners had breakfast and coffee. Best of all, they even let us use a shower after the race. I will absolutely be staying here the next time I’m in Catalina!

Property was located exactly as illustrated. Beautiful view of the ocean, beach and especially beautiful during Christmas. Stay was very pleasantly memorable. Thank you.

This hotel was amazing. Staff was able to help us check in early and check out late, which we greatly appreciated. I loved the courtyard area as well and how close the hotel was to everything. Would definitely go again!

We loved: the easy access of the place- the welcoming staff-the cleanliness- THE VIEW from our room- the shower and products-complimentary breakfast- holding luggage before and after check in- option to shower after check out... One heads up for others: if you have an ocean view room,you are next to a bar so it is quite loud during the night til the bar closes- bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

A great location right in Avalon. Friendly Staff and all you could ask for a place to stay on the Island.

The Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to restaurants, beaches and stores.
