The hotel service is excellent and the local beef is delicious

It is a rare opportunity to book a castle hotel. The experience of finding a way out of the maze-like corridors of the hotel is very interesting. There are marks left by the years everywhere. We were very satisfied with our first stop in Spain. The waiter who cleans the room does not have to knock on the door first, he just opens the door and comes in.

The hotel has an excellent location, parking space, and very good service attitude. The breakfast is delicious. The room is more than 40 meters in size, and the scenery of the ancient city can be seen outside the window. Will definitely come again next time.

Excellent location. Large room

Lovely building and great room. Comfortable bed and excellent bedding. Enjoyed a very reasonably priced drink in the bar by the log fire. Friendly barman. Only downside for us personally was the very late restaurant opening time, 8.30 is far too long to wait. Otherwise very enjoyable quiet night.

What’s NOT to like? Parador de Avila is a 5-star experience for a 3-star price.

This Parador is inside the walled city and close to everything, very walkable. Would certainly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful place but hardly a parking spaces and none available when we arrived. Had to park blocks away.

Fabulous hotel in the old town. Extremely comfortable beds and great shower pressure. Brilliant buffet breakfast with freshly cooked hot options also included. Good, imaginative dinners. Very pleasant grounds.

Very nice indeed. Our second parador hotel in the last 10 days. Not quite as nice as Toledo Parador but still a very high quality .

Beautiful restored palace with comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces near the medieval wall. Good accomodations and breakfast.

Beautiful Parador, located well within walking difference of the wall and restaurants,

Staff should be aware of Information about sites to visit. We went all the way to the Tannery to find it only opens on the weekend, not the week days. It also happened with the medieval ovens. It should be on the tourist information and staff at the Parador should be up on this information. It was quite annoying.
