Darmada Eco Resort

I am exploring Bali with my daughter, ent to different places like Nusa Penida, Ubud, Ulowatu, but Sidemen really catched my heart. The resort is so peacefull, location at the river is perfect and rooms are pretty....Already first welcome made me feel like in paradise. Such a nice people, helfpul, always ready to help. Food is delicious and swimmng pool is really pretty. For those who like privacy, quite area, authenticity, I can strongly recommend this resort, as well as the entire area. For me it was the most amazing part. The only mistake we made was not to stay longer....

What an amazing place . Set in the heart of sidemen this place is live heaven - so peaceful and quiet. Thoroughly recommend the river villa which is truely beautiful. The resort is magical with wonderful staff and amazing food. Absolutely loved it - we will be back . Ps try the yoga and the massages ‘

What a gem of a place! A magical spot to drop into nature, do yoga, read, rest in a hammock on a porch by a flowing stream in the most gorgeous cottage. It was even more beautiful than I imagined. The staff were so kind, the landscape so lush, the food delicious, it was hard to do anything else but just be there. I can't wait to come back!

Very special experience. I’m not the biggest fan of bugs, but it really wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated at all. I stayed in a deluxe room which was nice, the cocoa plants were above the outside shower, but there was no airconditioning and I really did miss that. I get why it isnt there, because the cottages are partly open. I was fanatic about closing the musquito net ;) And that helped, because no bugs entered the bed. But there were quite a lot of large ants in the outside bathroom. Just so you know. The location was very beautiful. The pool was amazing, you can just feel it is spring water. The restaurant was very convenient to have on premise, the food choice wasnt too big but it was tasty enough. The staff was super nice, they truly went above and beyond. My driver cancelled on me last minute and within half an hour they arranged a new one. I really liked the massage I booked as well, although the spa area wasnt as ‘spa-y’ as some other locations are. It was simple, but it worked. The main reason I booked was the proximity of the river. Although it was a small stream (probably due to the season I was here) with some plastic here and there, it felt really healing to just sit by the river and collect your thoughts. Next time, I personally would prefer a room with airconditioning, but I loved the experience and dont regret a thing. Beautiful experience!

Darmada Eco Resort was the first stop on our recent trip to Indonesia. We arrived late at night after a prompt airport pick up, then (extremely sorry about not remembering names) the young guy literally ran up to reception to greet us with a warmth that belied how late it was! Being so dark we could see next to nothing of the resort, but what we could see looked idyllic. Got to our rooms - adjoining detached rooms for us and our teenage daughter, and can't believe anyone would call them 'simple'??!! Ok, I'm not a luxury traveller but the main room was spacious, spotless and the outdoor bathrooms were just gorgeous! My partner was also surprised by the high standard as it was not (yet!) among the more expensive accommodation on our trip. Waking up at Darmada Eco Resort on our first day was simply magical. Slap bang in nature, ricefields in front of our rooms, the noises and the smells! Every morning they bring a thermos of hot water, coffee, teas and sweeteners and leave it on your porch. A fabulous idea and we just loved being able to have coffee as early risers without any effort, kudos for this Darmada! We explored the grounds, enjoyed amazing food in the restaurant (all meals fabulous and they were amazing with our daughter's coealiac disease) and were looked after amazingly by the young, professional and charming staff. We had a tour of the local rice fields, which after experiencing the tourism in Ubud we appreciated even more. A great, relaxed but informative guide, we learnt a lot and enjoyed stunning views minus swings or zipwires. We also had an offerings class which was incredible, these offerings are a huge part of life on Bali and it was amazing to have some experience of that. They offer a lot of other classes/experiences that I am sure we will try in the future. Can't fault it really, and send all staff our huge thanks for an amazing start to our holiday! You are amazing and we are very grateful to you.

What a wonderful peaceful place, so serene and tranquil by the river and surrounded by very well looked after gardens. The villa was a truely lovely surprise, set back by the trees. I loved the vibrant colours and outdoor bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Pool areas naturally shaded and restaurant by the river was nice. We had 2 nights and didn't leave the resort as had already explored Sidemen on our previous nights at a different hotel. This one's located a bit further down but if you want to just relax in serenity this is for you. We also took advantage of the incredible yoga platform and did a morning class with views of Mount Agung, magical!

This hotel was our fifth stop during our tour organized by mybaliroadtrip.com. Different hotel but a very unique one. Spacious room, nice restaurant and a very relaxing surrounding. There is a stream of water running next to your terras. Had a very good massage and a fantastic Cooking Class (Bali style food). Again a great choice from mybaliroadtrip.com

Due to severe chlorine related issues finding a natural pool was a wonderful find. So super that the pool at Darmada is firstly filled regularly by clear stream water; also minimal chlorine is added. And you can smell the lack of chemicals in the water. Even more lovely that the pool was clean and water sparkled in an oasis of beautifully landscapes gardens. Didn’t stay here mind! Came for the pool and restaurant (if you eat you can swim). And food was really tasty. Eat in the open plan restaurant or on the patio overlooking the river.

This really is a beautiful place. The nature is beautiful, terrace next to the river, nice restaurant, beautiful cottages where you are served tea in the morning. We booked a Batur Sunrise Trekking and we had a transfer to the Batur and a breakfast box was Included. Moreover we booked a sidemen walking tour with a nice guide We highly recommend this beautiful eco place to have a nice relaxed holiday. We booked this hotel directly and not via ***********.
