Makali Temple Village

Stayed here for 5 nights in early October with a few friends in the beautiful residence villa. We had the best time, the villa is even more spectacular in person and the staff were kind and warm. We had a fantastic time with a highlight being the amazing comfy beds!!

Wonderful stay. So quiet. Stayed 2 couples in a 2 bedroom villa. We came here and just wanted to relax and take a break from our busy lives. Gorg, was the perfect setting. The villa is beautiful and modern. The bed is sooo amazing, we all slept extremely well. Most of the time we spend in the villa or by the long pool. Went out for breakfast and dinner nearby. We would love to come back again.

Loved our stay. Webooked a 2-bedroom villa with a sacred tree view for 8 nights and extended for 3 nights in a 1-bedroom villa. It was that good. Clean beautiful design and the villa bathroom is divine. Close to cafes and dinner places - we walked mostly. The staff gifted us pastries and cold press juices when we left for the airport:) Friendly team - we used whats app for recs and requests. They made up the villa whenever we needed, which was nice so we didn't feel pressured for a specific time. Towels and bedding are organic and feel great. We'll for sure book again.

We loved our stay here. We stayed in the 3-bedroom Residence Villa. It's on a corner with the river on two sides, so you feel private and truly on holiday. The design is coastal modern, with a luxurious touch of marble and wood. You can close the living area or open it to the pool which was very comfortable during the heat of the day. The B&O speaker was a nice touch. The staff are fantastic - best in Bali of villas we have stayed in. Responsive and happy to help with any requests. Nothing was too much to ask. They provided a cocktail mixologist on one day and created a menu for the drinks which was amazing - low/no sugar with local ingredients. Fresh and delicious. REally great. The freshwater pool was new to experience. We stayed in all day without itchy skin or eyes. The shower water is filtered, and felt luxurious with bespoke all-natural amenities. Cafes and restaurants are within 5 minutes walking distance. We stayed in most of the time and ordered food recommended by the staff. They have complimentary healthy tonics at the kitchen fridge at the front - turmeric, ACV, ginger, which was a nice touch. Also have coconuts which we ordered daily. Everyone agreed that they had the best sleep on the Coco-mat mattresses. Felt refreshed in the morning. The bedside lavender relaxing mist was lovely. We'll definitely stay here again. It was relaxing and felt like home.

Wonderful stay. Quiet and amazing design, staff are so lovely. Travelled frequently to Bali for 10 years and this is our 2nd time here now. It's so different to all other villas in Bali and Canggu. The nature, quite, sleep... just wonderful.

I have to rave about this boutique hotel in Bali - it was absolutely amazing! The fresh water pool was like a little slice of heaven, super relaxing and refreshing. Super friendly staff and very helpful - they made us feel like VIPs. Perfect location, walking distance to nice restaurants (and a cute gelato place around the corner). The nearest beach, Pererenan, has a stunning sunset. The whole place was so bright and stylish. Clean and modern with a touch of Bali's charm (it’s next to a temple) - we loved it! Looking forward to staying at Makali again the next time we are in Bali.
