On the positive side, the rooms and bathrooms are very modern, spacious and clean. The double beds were incredibly comfortable. The TV in the downstairs room was very easy to operate, and of excellent quality. It's an incredibly central location, within walking distance to everything in Ballina. The cleaning lady Jessica was very friendly and helpful. The property owner was very obliging when I asked for a fridge for our room. The restaurant in the courtyard, Dillion's, is excellent for food(but make sure to book in advance). On the negative side, when we arrived by car around the back, we were confused where to park. In the end we parked in a car park about 60/70 meters from the property. The parking cost €2 per day which is extremely reasonable. The hallway just inside the door might need a large thick mat, as it was wet outside when we arrived, and the hallway was getting dirty. The hallway would need to be brushed and cleaned each day, as there's leaves, dirt, and footprints as you go in, and it doesn't leave a good first impression. The water temperature in the shower in the upstairs room was hit and miss, and my sister's sometimes had to come downstairs to have a shower. Also, the screen of the TV in their room upstairs was cracked for the duration of their stay. The mattresses on the single beds are poor in quality. A large bin outside the property might also be helpful, as the small bins we had filled up very quickly, but we'd nowhere to dump them. Last thing is that it would be a good idea to 'frost' a portion of the windows in the bottom bedroom for privacy as it's very open. We had to close the curtains the majority of the time we were there. Overall, the property is very good value.
