I am Dr Jayan from Sri Lanka, spent one whole month in Bangalore Kundalahalli ICON with you. I thought of dropping this word, is necessary before I go. I came to India booking the hotel without knowing any thing about the hotel, just because it was close to Sankara Eye Hospital where I am posted for my postgraduate studies. We contacted this trust worthy ***ager called MR. Laurance. Once I came to Bangalore without knowing anyone, the hotel staff including its ***ager, were really kind to help me with great trust. I had all my valuable and important documents in hotel room and it was kept safe even more than my own home. I felt like am in home and this room became my own one for the last one month. The reception always helped me with Wi-Fi and all the other requirements. The reception and receptionists are always available for 24/7 without any problem. They always tried to help me with smiling face. The two boys and the lady were always out to help me with a smile full in there face. The kitchen and the restaurant were really nice. They helped me to choose the food which suits me with great kindness. I was really afraid of choosing Indian food which I did not know by its name. The restaurant ***ager hope if I am correct, MR. ***mugam and his team were really nice. No words to express Last but not least, the housekeeping team and the laundry, did a nice job for me. They kept my room clean and protected. My all important documents including money I kept in the room. I did not lose even a cent during my stay. Laundry people did a highly trust worthy job. After all, I am moving out tomorrow, because I have to, for my learning tasks. I have to be with my colleagues. Holiday Inn Express Whitefield is located in Whitefield locality, about 35 km from Kempegowda International Airport. My previous stays in Bangalore have all been around Marathalli area and for some reason all the hotels in that neighborhood were going much higher that week, so I decided to give this hotel a try. The room was quite small with the vanity area right next to the bed. The hotel being a Holiday Inn Express, has complimentary breakfast for all guests. Menu was mostly fixed for most days (did not have much variation). I was not too keen on the taste of quite a few Indian items lacking flavor (hard to do!!). Thumbs up: Excellent cash rates during my stay. Would probably stay again just for the excellent value compared to hotels in other parts of Bangalore Had very good luck getting Uber in the morning and evening. Thumbs down: Not a big fan of the breakfast. Quite a few items in the menu were very bland (hard to do when you are serving Indian food!!). Room was very small and space quite tight. Late Edit: After my initial writeup, I actually ended up staying at the hotel again. My brother lives around Marathalli area/Outer Ring Road and the hotel rates in this neighbourhood is outrageous. This Holiday Inn Express was going at a great rate and so I stayed for another week in May. It was overall a decent exprience and I would not hesitate to come back again for another stay in the future. Also during my May stay, the breakfast has improved much more than my February stay. I've stayed at this hotel totaling 2 work trips spanning over 3 months combined. To be honest, I would not choose any other hotel in this area for such long stays given that I do care a lot about my comfort. The rooms are well maintained and complimented by the excellent room services available here. The food competes with the international standards, and I was quite satisfied with the a la carte menu. To top it all off, the staff over here are extremely well behaved and will go extends to help you out with any of your needs. To exemplify, when I came in for My stay the full hotel was booked for 2 days within my staying period. The staff was able to ***age and inform me of a cancellation and I didn't have to change hotels or my room. I can't help but mention Shobita, the customer facing individual ***** with Ramya, and Joydeb who ensured all of my needs were met. As I was staying for a prolonged period of time, Shobita ***aged a room upgrade and discounts on food as well. With all that being said, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying here in the white field area.
