Hotels near Giant Ibis Transport Bangkok, Bangkok

Literally a hidden gem (difficult to see unless you’re looking for it!) but such a nice clean space. Pleasant staff too. We didn’t bother with breakfast as lots of options nearby. Roof pool ok for a sundowner (although you need to BYO as bar no longer stocked/staffed). They also have a locked luggage store if you need to hang around after checkout (so man6nplaces leave bags strewn around foyer, and not at all secure)

Hotel is in the prime location but as per the photos in the app while booking it was not like same. This is first time when a hotel charge for luggage handling when you checkout and go for 3 to 4 hours outside before taking the flight. Beds are making sound while you take a side also.

We were so comfortable during our week at Nouvo that we booked it again. The hotel is not fancy but our room and bed were comfortable and the shower, ac, mini frig and lift all worked well. Housekeeping did a great job keeping our room clean and the pool and its facilities were quite clean, too. Breakfast was good and we commend the staff for how hard they work keeping up with the amount of traffic at the buffet. The hotel hosts a lot of tour groups which means depending on your timing arriving for check-in or bkfst you may have to wait a bit, but it was clear staff were doing their best. (I’m sorry to say that we saw quite a bit of rude behavior from guests toward staff at these areas, whether it was ignoring signs or smoking sections, to yelling or snapping fingers at staff, all of which hotel employees responded to with admirable calm.) The neighborhood is quite safe and within easy walking distance of buses and boats to sights and while the restaurants on the street may have limited fare, there are some great ones a few blocks away. Our few suggestions for Nouvo are that umbrellas be added to the lower pool area as not every guest wants to bake in the sun, and to please help Thailand's depressing problems with plastic trash by switching from individual bottles of shampoo and such to larger refillable dispensers in the showers, as many other hotels are starting to do. We would definitely stay here again!

Bathroom drain is slow to drain so you end up standing in a puddle of water for most of the shower. The room was meant to have a safe, but didn't, so I had nowhere to securely place my valuables whilst in the hotel or in Bangkok altogether. The hotel advertised having a roof top bar, but it wasn't functioning at the time of my stay. Although breakfast was included, it was across the road at another hotel who was doing them a favour, and the choices were less than optional, and even when I advised I didn't want onion in my meal in writing (I have an allergy) it came with onion anyway. I did not eat there again during my stay. Bottled water was not supplied daily. The hallways had the cleaning crews equipment blocking the access most days, and there was a dirty leftover plate from someone's dinner left in the hallway for 2 days. My room was meant to have a city view. From the window I could see the wall of the building next to us no more than 1 metre away. So, just a wall view. The hotel parking is an enigma. How anybody gets in and out of there without an accident is beyond me. I would like to say something positive, so on my last night there, the hotel staff person at the desk was very helpful in booking me a taxi for the following morning so that I could leave for my next destination. The taxi arrived and did actually take me to where I needed to go. I like the artwork in the hotel, but it is not a reason to stay there. Stay somewhere else.

I loved my stay at Khaosan Palace. I thought the room was super clean and had a great amount of space, the swimming pool was a great facility to have throughout the day and locate was fab during the night for those who like to be in the middle of the action.

Property is recently renovated and the rooms are spacious. The only con is that there are no fridges in the room, but the staff allowed us to use the fridge by the lobby (super friendly staff). The room we booked was on the older section, so there are no elevators. The staff helped us carry our suitcases up the stairs, luckily we stayed on the second floor. There’s a newly built section to this property with an elevator. The property has an area with booths which allowed us to eat as a family. The beers are cheaper than 7eleven, 65 baht for the big Chang bottle. The value is absolutely great, only 10-15 minute walk to Khao San Road and it’s very quiet at night. We opted to stay here rather than the hotels by Khao San Road as we are traveling with kids and they need to be able to sleep without the sound of music blasting til 4AM. The property was easy for our grab driver to find and it has a huge lot, so the 8 seater van had no problem getting to the property. TLDR: Great value, newly renovated property. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Beers are cheap and the AC works well. Peaceful area, great for traveling with kids. Lots of street food options and massage spots within walking distance

The hostel itself is well kept and a very ‘hippy’ vibe. The AC in the room was great, however, there was no AC in any other areas so using the showers and being in the ‘chill out’ area was stifling. The hosts were really great and helpful- they also let us leave our bags there all day on our final day. Another thing to note is the hostel is in a very slim and tall building so you may be located on the 4th /5th floor and have lots of steps to climb which is something to bear in mind if you have accessibility needs. We only stayed two nights and it was pleasant for the time we spent there.

Hotel in posizione strategica in quanto nel cuore della spettacolare Bangkok e a 2 passi dalla caratteristica Kho San Road. Cordiale e sorridente l’intero staf, come d’altronde lo sono tutti i tailandesi, caratteristica predominante dell’intera nazione. Camere molto carine e pulite, forse solo leggermente piccole. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio vivamente di visitare la Thailandia e di prenotare in questo hotel.

Did 7 days quarantine in this hotel before TH Govt made quarantine 14 days. The room was modern, chic and much bigger than I expected. They give you a QR code to scan via WhatsApp or Line so communication with the staff is direct. Very useful. Nurse on duty is kind as well. Staff Yui and Firm are very helpfuI. I had some issues with my checkout however. The nurse informed me that I could check out one day earlier than in my confirmation and that was welcome news. Since I could Check out earlier, I asked if I would get a refund on the one night that I was supposed to stay and they said no. Staff said that checking out one day earlier is my option and I can stay one more night if I wanted 😅 They were explaining something about my arrival time in Thailand that allowed me to check out one day earlier. Touch down before 1800h in Thailand allows you to check out a night earlier apparently. I explained that the reservations department knew my arrival time and flight number (before 1800h). They still put my check out on my confirmation on a wrong date. I asked to speak manager to get further clarification but staff said the manager will only come in the afternoon. After days of quarantine, really just agreed so I could check out. Other than that, every thing is great. Food is excellent too! Security team was really kind and helpful. Will stay again to quarantine if I need to go TH again. Still hoping to get a refund of one night😅 Not to take away anything from reservations department, they replied promptly with last minute changes with my booking. Thank you Ibis for taking care of me 😁

It was convenient because it was close to Khao San Street and access to Wat Peng Po and the Royal Palace was good. The drawback is that the subway station is a little far away, but if you use apps such as Via Bus to enter the bus stop in front of the Democratic Memorial Tower as a standard and act on the bus, there is no particular inconvenience. There is a school in front of the hotel, which is quiet and relaxing at night. (See photo: atmosphere in front of the hotel) The front desk was able to respond in English. Cleaning and amenities need a little attention. First of all, it seems that the hotel does not have a spare key, so if you want to enter the cleaning, please be careful not to open the key or return it to the front desk and forget it. Also, as it may happen, there were no amenities such as toothbrushes and combs at this stay, and a shower cap and free bottled water were prepared. However, I think it will not be a big problem because I have prepared additional towels when I forgot to return the key, and I sell toothbrushes at 7-Eleven next door. There is also a good piano at the entrance and I think it is a good hotel with a good atmosphere.
