Liyuan Guesthouse

The room was great! We had a lakeside balcony room on the first floor. In the morning, two black swans even came to interact with us. After a tiring day of exploring the scenic area, it was a relief to come back to the hotel and relax, then head out again feeling refreshed.

We booked a family room for three people, with one 1.8m bed and one 1.2m bed, which was perfectly sufficient. The room was quite clean, and the breakfast was good. We also had lunch at the hotel, and I really enjoyed the grilled fish.

Great location, close to everything. The environment is lovely, with a charming Liyuan Opera theme. The service is excellent, highly recommended!

This hotel is located on Sun and Moon Island, right in the heart of the scenic area, surrounded by a river. It's super convenient for visiting all the attractions, and the drone show at night is right outside the door! The hotel has old-fashioned wooden doors and windows, which look like they've seen some years, but the room itself is very warm thanks to the heating and air conditioning. The king-size room was a bit small, but the bathroom was large and had a great wet/dry separation. The room was very clean, the mattress was comfortable, the duvet was warm, and the pillows were soft and cozy! The only downside was that our king-size room was at the end of the guesthouse, so the window was a bit small, and the natural light wasn't great, but it wasn't a huge issue. My family stayed in a twin room, which had excellent natural light and was much larger! Overall, I highly recommend this guesthouse!

A very comfortable stay. The inn is in a great location, right on the square where the drone show takes place, and very close to the snack street, so it's quite central. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, and very, very warm. My favorite part was that all the beds have guardrails, so I didn't have to worry about my child falling out. My kid has only fallen out of bed twice in their life, and both times were at hotels without guardrails! 😂 The breakfast here is split into a buffet and à la carte options. The free breakfast included with my room was quite rich and varied. The inn's restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. We had the grilled fish set for lunch here, and it was delicious; both the meat and vegetable dishes were very flavorful. The inn's service is also excellent. The two young men at the front desk were very enthusiastic and thoughtful, even giving snacks to my child. I accidentally left some clothes behind when we checked out in a hurry, and the front desk staff member paid to mail them to me out of his own pocket, which was really sweet of him. All in all, it was a great experience. My elderly parents usually complain a lot when we travel, but they had nothing but praise for this place!

The hotel's location is excellent, right in Riyue Island Plaza. The room decor is very distinctive, with an antique, opera-themed style. From the window, you can see the Riyue Island pier and the water. The room also offers hawthorn and jasmine for making tea.
