The Markazia suites are billed as 5 star but it would be lucky to get a 3 star in most countries so let's begin. When arriving with heavy luggage the door staff just watched and didn't even open the door There is only one restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a small bar attached to it The breakfasts are poor - the selection is limited and the coffee dreadful Rooms are faded and old fashioned - my carpet had stains and was thin. The bath room was cramped, the toilet seat came off once and the sliding doors of the bathroom kept getting stuck The suites had a ring for cooking but no utensils.... it just goes on. The facilities are just simply inadequate reception staff were pleasant but this is a really poor experience. Avoid there are much better places at the same price.

The hotel is located in a quirky area with many restaurants and near the beach promenade near the American University. It has 19 floors. Need to take a room with sea view !! - I had one in the 18th. Stock and was excited by the view of Beirut and the sea. The room has a small balcony and otherwise everything you need. It was clean and large enough to feel well. Breakfast is available in the restaurants on the street.

I stayed in a junior suite which was very cute and cozy. The only downside to the hotel is the lack of breakfast or dining options. However, it is located in a very good part of downtown barely 10 minutes walk from Zaitunay Bay which houses several cafes and restaurants. It is also a walking distance from many restaurants, the marina and pubs. Staff were very nice and welcoming. They helped me order dinner twice.

Benefits: The hotel room is large with a small balcony, the sea view is great, and the breakfast can be seen on the top floor. Disadvantages: 1. Book one month in advance and write an email to the hotel to book the airport pick-up service. After the arrival, I can't find the car. After I went to the hotel, I asked if I didn't even apologize. I said, ”Oh, the colleague who may have promised you forgot. ”. 2. The hotel is not allowed to bring water and food, and no kettle is provided. You can only drink mineral water from the small bar in the room. The cheapest one is a 2000LL bottle. 3. The hotel buffet breakfast is from 6 am to 11 am, but it is basically cold cuts, there is almost no hot food, and there are not many styles. 4. There is a seafood restaurant opposite the hotel, which will be open to the public. At 8/9 in the evening, the music was loud and loud until the early hours of the morning. The music and the crowd cheered only louder and louder, and could not sleep at all. 5. At 9 o'clock in the morning, I heard that the upstairs began to knock and beat the drill wall and was woken up in the repair. Where and how to get money and the best exchange rates (especially with financial problems) where to eat, what to do, advise on what to do on our short stay, taxis, day trips and more. He was so helpful. Thank you so much Bashar, best reception ever! Hotel location was perfecy to walk to central site and a 20 minute drive to the airport. Room was big and clean. Breakfast option would have been good. Amazing restaurant across the road with the best local food.

Newly decorated hotel with spacious rooms and great staff. 24 hour entrance with daily room cleaning - they also offer super cheap laundry service (I haven’t used it however). My apartment had a balcony with a street view and was great to watch local people getting on with their lives and interacting with each other. The queen bed was really comfy and the lil fridge did it’s job well. The bathroom is shower only and there’s also AC in the room. The location has a real Middle East feel to it so no fancy buildings or parks etc. but I think this makes it more special. There is a lil supermarket just outside and has basic stuff which is open till late. The main high street is 2 mins walk where you can have quick Lebanese bites that are super cheap and delicious - there’s also a bigger supermarket with great fruit/veg. The only letdown was the WiFi - it was in range but was a bit slow, OK for browsing though. Overall very pleased and would visit again.
