Worst hotel avoid at all costs. We booked this holiday through Jet2 and we were very excited at the prospect of a much-needed break. However, the reality of this hotel is very different and I wish I had believed the reviews from the UK. I wrote a 5000 word complaint detailing everything that had gone wrong on this holiday, and to be honest, it will be difficult to write down everything that was wrong on here. To summarise the hotel is old dated dirty and dangerous. The staff barely speak any English now, while I do not expect people to speak English outside of a resort when you are in a five star international resort you expect multilingual more than just basic language. I spent the entire week using using Google translate to converse with people and explain what was wrong. Our first room was mouldy and dirty with paper, thin walls. The air-conditioning did not work. Our second room also had some mould, but given it was less than the first, it seemed to be about the best we were going to get, it was still dated with loose wires, a fuse box with no cover holes in the wall and extremely dangerous fittings. Our second room also had no air-conditioning and when you are in 30° heat you expect more than just a fan. we were continuously fobbed off by the hotel staff about why it was not working but given it did not work anywhere within the hotel, nor in any of the other rooms from the guests, we asked they appear to have turned it off. It was suggested in the end that we just sleep with the door open. At least our second room had a locking patio door. The first room did not. My son sustained a number of injuries while staying at the hotel due to dangerous fittings in the hotel room, such as a extremely heavy metal object hung from the ceiling with what is the equivalent to a picture hook that fell down, cut his head open and has left him with a scar for Life had it of been a baby it would’ve killed it. We sought medical attention for this injury at the time and receive medical care. The hotel tried to make us sign a form to say we had refused. I wrote on the form to say this was not the case Jet2 have refused to take any responsibility because we did not go to the hospital which is totally disgusting given they were sent medical reports and photographs of the wound as well as the offending item. It was all reported as soon as it happened to both Jet2 and the hotel staff. The interior of the landings was faded, worn and dirty with threadbare carpets, marks and holes up the walls. While the entrance and reception appeared very grand The hotel was a state. Around the pool, there were broken tiles which were dangerous bits of broken brick splinters on the woodwork. On our first full day there, my son got injured on the unsafe waterslides these were by non English-speaking lifeguards, who are more interested in their phones than actually watching what was going on. in fact, all of the staff spoke, Russian perfectly well, but hardly spoken Eng

The hotel is old, rooms, toilets in the public areas especially. If you come to the pool bar you can wait forever for the service - no one will attend, they will turn around from you while walking past you. I don’t know why is it called “high class all inclusive “… as there were no fresh juice, Red Bull casted 3 eur, they did virgin mojito cocktail with mint leaves already brown color. Animation is average during the day, better in the evening. Not enough Sun beds - you need to hunt for it. Towels close at 6 pm when a lot of kids are still in the pool and need a towel; and no lifeguard. Territory with the swimming pool is beautiful.

It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. I'm coming here for the second time because it feels like home. We feel all this, thanks to all the hotel staff who are very committed and friendly. The entertainment team is superb, for example I loved playing laddergolf with Lyubov or volleyball with Svetlana. They're both friendly, and like to help you make the most of your stay. The restaurant and bar staff are very efficient. My room is always clean. I would recommend this hotel.

Stay away from this hotel! For those who want to enjoy their holidays, I strongly recommend to stay away of this so-called “hotel”. Here is a brief summary of our experience: • Nice Rooms but with noisy air conditioning and extremely loud refrigerator. • No sound isolation in the walls or Windows. You hear normal conversations and barking dogs like they are next to you. • Worst of all the Hotel is just next to a dog shelter with 20 or more dogs. This was written nowhere and the dogs start barking and wake you up as early as 6:00 in the morning. Regardless of being an animal lover, sleep is almost impossible to come by here. • The owner is extremely aggressive and hot-headed, not hesitating to make threats and even resorting to physical intimidation. • Kind Service staff but unreliable. • The breakfast was a bit mediocre, no buffet or choice. Longer Version: When we spent our first night at the hotel and were awakened at 06:00 in the morning by barking dogs, we decided to inform the Receptionist about it and kindly asked for an early checkout. We initially tried to find a solution with the receptionist, who showed understanding and attempted to negotiate so that we would only pay for 2 out of the 11 nights. She assured us that it is no problem and was very helpful. However, after much back and forth and one really low ball offer (200 of 850 Euros) they offered to refund 470 850. That was not ok since we only stayed for 2 nights. So, we tried to explain that they have the responsibility if they don’t disclose their proximity to a dog pound but that we would be open to meet in the middle price wise. They said no. We told them that this was not making a good image for a review and we finally had to agree to the deal and got only 200 Euros and the rest in Turkish Lira because they didn’t have more Euros. Disappointed with this compromise, we returned to our hotel room around 22:00 to prepare for our next journey at 03:00 in the morning. Which the reception knew about. Since we couldn't find another hotel that same evening, we stayed for one more night, which ultimately turned out to be a grave mistake. At 11:30, there was a knocking on our hotel room door. They wanted us to pay 20 Euros for the Shuttle service from earlier. My husband told them we would pay it at 03:00 when we do the check out. The guy agreed and said good night. At 11h45 someone knocked at the door again but my husband was under the shower and shouted “I come down tomorrow, ok?”. The guy stopped knocking. Then the situation got crazy. A bit midnight(!), when we were finally in bed, they started pounding on our door extremely loudly and violently. After some hesitation, my husband opened the door, and the owner was standing there with the receptionist and another guy. He verbally attacked him and physically intimidated him. It was honestly an incredible new experience for all of us. There’s really nothing bad to say about this place, the food was all so delicious and there was a wide variety. The main and dessert selection was so unique, it was different everyday - so many new foods to try! And all the staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful, we really felt welcomed by everyone. We didn’t have to worry about calling our own taxi and stress about converting money as the receptionists & guest relations team were very accommodating.The servers were very quick with our drinks and very attentive to our requests. We were also extremely satisfied with the cleaning process, they were very quick and efficient! All toiletries were refilled everyday and our room was spotless every time! The facilities are perfect for everyone, there’s an arcade, a spa, gym and a private beach. It was such a great experience and we would highly recommend visiting Calista! Thank you!!
