Villa del Faro

As everyone else has said this is an amazing place. The beauty can not be beat. The pool, rooms, beach, flowers, people are all lovely. Our only drawback was that dinner was just o.k.- seemed very basic for $50 a person (ex Sara Lee deserts!) We had a great vacation.

A Roman Villa-like complex set among pristine beaches, reached by a dirt road. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but are surrounded by luxury.

Beautiful and peaceful location. The property is a very special off-grid compound that has been nicely adapted to an eco bed and breakfast. The food was excellent and all staff and fellow guests were lovely. If you like off-the-beaten path experiences you will be well rewarded.

We had a memorable time at the Villa del Faro with my best friend. We booked the beach house where we enjoyed the ocean view being completely alone. The best way to contemplate the sun rise, take a swim, watch the stars in the night and drink a glass around a campfire. The host are very nice people and the food is great, all we were looking for at the boutique hotel far from the big resorts. Just be aware that the way to join the hotel from the airport is a bit long and the road not easy.

Amazing stay at Villa del Faro. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The grounds and facilities are amazing. We went snorkeling at the nearby Cabo Pulmo and it was fantastic.

The Villa del Faro is absolutely spectacular for two big reasons--its breathtaking natural beauty by the Sea of Cortez with a pristine beach, majestic palm trees, flowers and cacti, and the family and staff who share this eco-resort with their fortunate guests. Great care has been taken to build and furnish the Villa with original art and traditional crafts. The casitas are spacious and airy with windows that open to the sound of the sea. From the colorful tiled patio outside our room, we watched humpback whales breach with their young. There are many quiet spaces to listen to the birds, read, and truly relax. The food is excellent, healthy and delicious, beautifully served by a staff that is at once professional, friendly, and kind. We especially enjoyed dining in the open air bar by the chiminea on a cool evening, chatting with the personable bartender. Our stay at Villa del Faro is hands-down the loveliest vacation we've ever taken, for its colorful ambiance and warmth of the people who maintain such a paradise. It is unlike any place we've previously been, with its unusual blend of beauty, comfort and stewardship of the land.

This is one of those hidden jewels that you have no idea is there, unless you drive up the poorly marked driveway. The food was excellent, the drinks, too and it was a wonderful place to just relax. It is not easy to get to, but once you do, you won't want to leave!

Villa del Faro exceeded my expectations. I was worried about there not being any air conditioning, but each building has many windows to open and allow the cool ocean breezes in. Plus, the trees and many structures provide ample shade. The main house is gorgeous and we enjoyed cocktails one evening in the massive living room. Although the family does live there, we felt welcomed in all spaces. We were in Casita Dos, north. It is a large bedroom with separate sitting area and bathroom with sink and toilet. It has a large patio, which is shared with the attached casita. We had an outdoor shower, which I loved until an enormous spider showed up in it. The bed is extremely comfortable. We spent 2 nights after having been a week in Cabo. It was wonderful to relax, swim, walk on the beach and have nothing we had to do! The food was quite delicious! Some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had and fantastic margaritas. Thank you to Ellie, Allie, Candy, and Eddie for a relaxing time in your beautiful villa!

We LOVED staying in the Beach Cottage at Villa del Faro. The property is absolutely beautiful, the owners and staff friendly and so fun to talk to, and the food and drink amazing. We are planning to come back and bring friends! 10/10 would recommend.
