I can't believe this hotel has 4.3 stars on *******. The worst experience I have had in Bogota. The photos are false advertising. The price does not correspond to the quality of the hotel. I am staying with my husband and the room is like a closet. It has no ventilation and smells musty. The supposedly queen bed is super small and short. The safe's instructions are confusing. We arrived, we put our cell phones in the safe to go get something to eat and when we came back it couldn't be opened. It was 4:30 p.m. and Alejandro from the front desk said that he couldn't do anything because the manager had the master key and he had already left. He said we wait at 7:30 a.m. of the next day. We had work appointments from 8 a.m. and we only hope to solve the next morning. It turns out that this Mr. Alejandro never told the manager. The next morning we were told that the manager was not coming because he had a medical appointment. We were incommunicado and anguished. In the end a maintenance man came at 11:30 to open the box. The truth is that this whole situation is super frustrating and for the price we are paying as if it were a 4 or 5 star hotel, it is absurd. The customer service is lousy and they don't care about anything and the hotel is lousy.

I checked in at 7pm on a business trip and there were no rooms. This is a complete absurd. After making a scene they finally decided to “find” a room. My colleague waited over an hour for his room. In the next evening there were buckets everywhere in the lobby area due to water leaks. The breakfast buffet was garbage - no better than a Hampton Inn. The minibar was empty and the standard room was really basic. On top of that - I’ve ordered a waffle and two bottles of water the evening I arrived and it took 90 minutes to arrive. I expected a lot more from a 5 star hotel. I’m always in Bogota on business trips and will NEVER be back to this hotel. On a positive side, the building is absolutely beautiful.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. I was only in town for 1 week so it was imperative that I met all of my appointments and connections on time and was able to do so thanks to the hotel staff. They also helped me navigate through the new Covid procedures so that I would not have any issues at the airport or upon return to the US and again they exceeded my expectations.

The hair dryer that we were given was in bad conditions. It was very old, very dirty, full of hair, motorcycles, dirt, everything... And although that is not their use, my sister wanted to dry a little the moisture of her shoes, because it had rained that day, as it burned it, made very rare and alarming noises. But he was so hot... suddenly, he slowed down and began to discharge a very bad smell, when my sister wanted to see why, he found that he had burned his shoe inside. They should be more careful and look at what they give to guests.

We had to stay longer in Bogota due to medical reasons and had to switch hotels...so happy that we choose BioHotel...It is a hidden gem...the hotel is from walking distance to all nice restaurants of Usuquen but do not forget to eat in the nice green restaurant from the hotel. The hotel is beautiful decorated and even the tables in the restaurant are from recycled material. Breakfast is just great! with all small finishing touches and a staff that is always smiling! The hotel is doing really a lot for the environment and the fresh air system is great. The rooms are really quiet and beautiful as is the bathroom! we have stayed for 5 nights but we will be back for sure!
