Grand Hotel Majestic Gia' Baglioni

Bologna City Center Bologna|1.05km from Palazzo Ghiselli Vasselli
The hotel is located on the main road of Bologna, across the road from the Cathedral. On the day of the check-in, a grand religious celebration is held, as it is close to the road and you can walk through the road to feel. The room is large, especially the bathroom, and it is no exaggeration to say that you can dance inside. There is an emergency alarm rope near the toilet and the shower. I have pulled two times in the unknown. I have to call the security immediately and need no assistance. It is quite professional and safe. The bathroom accessories are famous Italian brands, the quality is very good, they are brought back to China after they have not been used up, especially like it. The breakfast room was slightly crowded and the dishes were average, but there were even porridge dishes. Later, I learned that there were Japanese monks and local religious groups to hold a friendly relationship and cooperation ceremony during the stay. It was very interesting to walk from the hotel. The restaurant waiter also asked us about Chinese tastes and Chinese cuisine. Although the English communication between the two sides could not convey the essence of Chinese food, they communicated clearly with the help of the body language and imagination. The breakfast was really good. A cultural exchange platform, the restaurant waiter is also very friendly. In general, although it is not the best hotel in Italy, it is also a great place to experience.

We arrived in Bologna by train and got a taxi to the hotel which takes around 15 minutes and costs approximately 20 euro. The check in staff were polite and we left our luggage with them as we arrived early. We went out exploring and came back and our bags had been put in our room. The room was medium sized, clean and there was tea and coffee making facilities although only paper cups provided. We asked for extra pillows as only one each provided and they kindly obliged. The problems arose when we went to use the shower and barely any water came out. We called the receptionist and she came straight up, she said she’d call maintenance. The shower started working all be it very poorly so I told her not to bother as we wanted to go out. When we got back we had no water at all. Luckily we had brought some bottled water so we used this for our kettle and brushing our teeth. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, the air conditioning worked well. The following morning we got up and again no water pressure! Just about enough to brush your teeth, a shower was impossible! This was reported again to the hotel. We even had a neighbouring room knocking on our door asking if we had water as they had none either! This is obviously a major problem this hotel has not addressed. That evening we had a bit of water so I got in the shower which then completely stopped whilst I was covered in soap and my hair full of shampoo. I had to wait 10 minutes for a trickle to come out to rinse myself off! Lucky I don’t have much hair! Our final morning we experienced exactly the same problem. I gave up and didn’t bother plus pointless even asking receptionist as they couldn’t remedy the problem. Breakfast is served in your room which you choose the evening before. First morning we had scrambled eggs and bacon which I found inedible as the eggs were burnt and very hard, this maybe how scrambled eggs are in Italy as my wife pointed out, she was happy to eat them! The following morning we had croissants which were ok. I’d loved to have scored this hotel higher than a two star, however the fundamental of a hotel room is to provide a bed and washing facilities. This hotel only provided us the bed. The city of Bologna is beautiful I will definitely be back however it will be in a different hotel.

We have booked this place through their website and we were satisfied from the general information that we got online. To be honest it was in a very good locations. Arriving at the property we noticed that there were construction works ongoing !!! Early in the morning the noise was very loud and it was impossible to sleep. Imagine a family with 2 young children that has to wake up from that noise. The second and the biggest delusion was the apartment itself. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A PLACE SO DIRTY! The floor was so dirty like it has months without washing. Tested with a paper tissue… it become brown dark, disgusting. The beds were arranged with some old sheets and a couple of duvet (smelly) that was hard to sleep. Very old towels, from white they were close to grey, and with an unpleasant smell. The apartment itself was very old in furniture and equipment. Not mentioning that there was zero acoustic isolation. You can feel the next door apartment chats like they were in your room, and the road noise was crazy if your apartment with face the road. Very poor experience

ocation and the bed was comfy enough Disliked · After booking and paying on line we were told that arrival after 7.30pm would cost us extra money! For the whole of our stay the reception area and our bedroom smelled very heavily of cigarette smoke. Very noisy room with early morning deliveries to the supermarket below, which woke us up around 6am every day. The bathroom was tiny .The shower was weak and the shower head holder was broken which meant it was too low and the water spray faced the wall. The room was very dark and we couldn’t open the curtain because we would be seen by everyone who overlooked us in the interior courtyard. The breakfast is not what we want to eat especially in Bologna - tiny unappetising looking shop bought croissants that the receptionist was baking in the oven. The place was surrounded by shops selling delicious home made fresh bread and pastries The coffee was ok but it was long life milk- I couldn’t see any fresh. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room so you need to dress before you get a coffee.

One night in Bologna to see the Explosions in the sky at the Duse Theatre. I was looking for a nearby, affordable, comfortable place that guaranteed services and privacy. The indoor parking is not there, but 5 minutes walk (clock) there is a quite comfortable pay-per-pay parking. We arrived and the gentleman Simone gave us instructions to live and see the city and showed us the room to then pass too The time with us to talk about music (which he is not only passionate, but has a taste nothing bad!). But in a 2-minute walk from the theater and any JustEat in the area. It will be our reference point for every next event here.

We thought we were going to an hotel and you're actually in front of the huge door of an old building and names at the interphone that don't match. You will then take off your reservation and you will realize that there is no phone number, except yours. Therefore, you press all the interphone buttons, but as in a nightmare, no one responds to you. The door opens and is a little laid resident neighbor because the scene often must repeat itself and that can't do anything for you. We were saved by two other tourists crossed in the corridor, who lived in one of the three rooms and had the number of the owner who doesn't live on the ground. It was in December; outside it was night and cold and the owner told us to wait for it 3/4 hours. The impression of shiting it. Good to come anyway. Inside: two defects in my opinion: no breakfast offered, but it would be easy to make at least one boiler available. Second defect in the shower: nothing to put the shower freeze: so we need to continuously fall: it is not a big investment to facilitate the lives of the guests of the walking distance

This is a wonderful small family owned hotel in a great location in Bologna. We had many family members staying there on our way to a wedding and it was PERFECT! The staff (especially Marco) was great - friendly, helpful & spoke good English. The rooms are all different and extremely well appointed. The rate was good and the included breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.
