NachtischThe hotel doesn't have its own parking, but there's a convenient underground parking garage right next door. The location is excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. There's a water dispenser in the hallway and a capsule coffee machine in the room. The room itself is spacious, but the cleaning wasn't quite up to par, as there were items left behind by the previous guest. The shower area in the bathroom becomes very slippery when wet, posing a fall risk, and the toilet door doesn't have a lock.

Guest UserSuper Stylish and well maintained and clean. The service was great and the team from reception to bar staff were brilliant. The location was ok, but we were quite happy with a little walk, the first day it was about 25 minutes to the old town but not so picturesque. The following day we took a little stroll through a garden route to town which was much nicer. We were there for a concert, which was about a 20 minute taxi drive. We used the facilities from the roof top bar, enjoying the tacos and cocktails of an evening, as well as breakfast on the Sunday. We also used the lobby bar which was very relaxed. We didn't get around to trying the Peruvian restaurant, but it looked nice.

Anonymous UserA wonderful hotel right next to the Botanical Gardens. Quiet rooms. Sadly, however, the doors are quite thin and have a gap at the bottom, so you can hear everything that is happening outside of your room and also can hear everything that’s happening inside the rooms when you are in the hallway. Besides, the bathroom door is incredibly thin and the bathrooms are very echoey, so travelling not solo might introduce some awkwardness if you are one of the people with shy bladders. Other than that, everything was great. Clean, friendly, top service.

AidingbaoliulanghanService: I'm about to give the worst service review. On my first stay, your hotel's front desk had a Caucasian female employee who initially gave me half of a family suite. Only after I emphasized the room type I booked did she change it for me. The hotel wasn't so fully booked that she couldn't have assigned me the room I pre-booked. Why would you try to pass off a partitioned room as a full one, treating customers like fools? I was extremely angry about this. And it wasn't just the room assignment; the room card she gave me was just a plain power card. Couldn't she provide a proper, decent room card? It's hard for me not to suspect some malicious intent. I hope you can give me a satisfactory explanation.
Otherwise, my overall review of this hotel is very positive. The accommodation environment is good, the room facilities are sufficient, the location is great, and transportation is convenient. The room design is also beautiful, and I took many photos. I highly recommend staying here. If I come to Brussels again, I would indeed choose Cardo again. However, the subtle malice from your front desk and the unpleasant check-in experience disappointed me so much that it nearly ruined my entire stay, even though everything else was perfect.

Anonymous UserThe room is spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. Staff are friendly too ! On this level that we stayed, there is a gym and sauna room too. We really enjoyed our stay here. Will stay in this hotel again if were to travel to Belgium again.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a good place to rest and easy travelling to places like Grand Place, Mont des Art, Brussels North Train Station, etc.
This hotel is also near to the station Rogier, it is within walking distance. Hence, it is easy to travel to other places. Many shops and eateries nearby.
There is a beautiful Starbucks nearby too. Do have a cup of coffee there and enjoy. If you are looking for soup noodles, you must try Pho Pho opposite Thon Hotel. The noodles and soup are very tasty!

Guest UserI literally booked this room 3 hours before I arrived and everything was ready for my arrival. Brand new room (hotel was under construction) with modern look and very clean. Staff at front desk was helpful and efficient, I had an issue with the shower head and came back to it fixed quickly. Only negative was the layout of the bathroom - you can’t sit on the toilet properly, you must sit sideways 😂

Booked the most basic room there was, as I was there for the F1 weekend, and will not be in the room except at night for resting. The location is nestled nicely between Brussels North Station and the shopping area/Grand Place, so most places that I wanted to go were walkable. I didn't interact with many service staff except when I checked in and out. Shower pressure was poor; it could have been better, considering the water pressure was quite strong. In terms of cleanliness, you could feel the grime on the carpet when walking barefoot. There was mould all over the pillars and walls of the room and toilet, and a musky smell coming from the cupboard. There is also no air-con in the room, when I say no air-con, I don't mean it is spoilt, there simply isn't one, so expect the room to be stuffy, especially on hotter months. I was lucky as the temperature at night was around 16C, so I used the portable heater as a ventilator fan.

Everything—facilities, cleanliness, ambiance, and service—was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Since there were three of us staying together, the hotel must have specially added an extra bed. They also provide breakfast; while not extensive, it was certainly sufficient. Overall, a very satisfying experience 😊

It is located in the city, beside double tree hilton and few walks away from a station. It took us 8mins walk to the famous street and the Royal Galleries. The room is really spacious, completes with amenities, good service over the counter about me asking how to go to the Charleroi airport in the morning. It is also very clean and comfortable for a budget stay.

Plus:
The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s.
There is heating both in the room and in the shower
There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works)
This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station
Minus
The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s.
There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers.
The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt.
Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still.
The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes.
The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry.
The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully.
The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to.
I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep.
I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house.
The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button .
I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice.
