The building was built in 1994 and clearly represents its tight lines and powerful columns, which in the early 1990s were referred to as modernist architecture. The street has got its name after Vice Admiral Peter Wessel Tordenskiold, who lived from 1690 to 1720. The name Verdandi was originally written in the Old Norse language, and for that reason, you will find the letter ð written in capital letters (Ð) in the hotel logo.
