Good standard of accomodation - studio with plenty of room for two. It was clean and had everything we needed. Plus the added bonus of actually being able to open windows! Easy to find and about 25 mins walk from the main centre. But very near Whiteladies Road with a fantastic choice of bars and places to eat, plus a couple of small supermarkets. Free parking available at rhe back. Booking was easy, communication Good and efficient. Checking in was contactless and easy. Check out 11.00 am which was also a bonus. Only issue was I asked if we could leave our car in the carpark on check out day, knowing that folk couldn't check in before 4pm. I was told that we could but we would be charge £5.00 !an hour!! Needless to say we.didnt! ! Overall though, we would stay again!!

Clifton
I booked a 2 bed apartment for 2 nights in January as I was booked in to the Spire Hospital for an operation. The apartment looked just like the photos, it was easy to access and it was clean. We booked a parking space as the on-road parking is busy. While I initially thought it was expensive on arrival it was apparent that paying three additional cost is necessary. We had a contactless check in and all of the information we needed was sent to me well in advance and it was accurate which meant check in was fast. I had a 2 bed apartment with both bedrooms being double rooms and my room had an en-suite which was super useful when I was discharged from the hospital. Both bedrooms had TVs and large wardrobes. There is an ironing board and iron and fans. The curtains in both rooms are heavy blackout curtains, there was not a slither of light getting through those curtains. The main bathroom was large with a shower, bath and sink. The livening space is an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and was really handy for me so that I could eat at 4am because I was unable to eat or drink after 6am. It was also really useful when I got back from the hospital so that I could heat up some soup but it enabled mom to cook herself an evening meal. Everything we needed was readily available and clean. The dining table is a lovely round glass table and the seating area had two large leather sofas. One sofa had rips and tears but it was covered by a lovely blanket. The decor is simple but beautiful. There was some noise from the apartment upstairs but it stopped around 10pm. The location of the apartment was great for what I needed, it was literally 5 minute drive from the hospital. It is in a lovely area which was quiet and made me feel happier at leaving mom in a strange space while I was in hospital. The apartment is a short walk from the high street and we walked it several times over the few days we were there for food and drinks. I have been to Bristol a few times and love the city. We loved our stay in Clifton and I will be back to see more of Clifton and I would like to stay here again the next time I visit. For a change, the apartment is exactly as stated and shown in the pictures.
Berwick Lodge

We returned to Berwick the second year in a row for afternoon tea for my mother’s birthday as we had such a nice time last year. It didn’t disappoint - delicious sandwiches with lovely thick slices of salmon and beef, and the cakes/desserts were equally delicious and varied. We had 3 generations in our group of 10 so the atmospheric wooden panelled lounge was perfect to accommodate (and contain!) young and old. The late afternoon sun gave the perfect setting for a mooch around the beautiful gardens to finish it off. As per last year, all of the staff we encountered went out of their way to be friendly and helpful - I was very impressed and it was the “icing on the cake”. Worth mentioning also that we had a combination of fussy child eaters and gluten free which we had informed the staff about beforehand and they couldn’t have been more accommodating making little tweaks so everyone could enjoy the food.
Lodge at Bristol

In all honesty when I booked this hotel I didn’t expect much. I was looking for somewhere to lay my head off the M5 before travelling to wales in the morning. For £80 (which was very reasonable for a Saturday night and comparative to other hotels in the area) I thought I’d take a chance. Easily better than a travel lodge or holiday inn - very tastefully decorated, warm and clean. Two small issues: we arrived after 10pm & as they do not operate 24hr checkin the place was locked down like fort knots (reassuring but irritating) and the black sheep was closed. I had rang earlier in the day and sent an email but had no response/reply however I had luckily found in the small print of booking.com about checking in over the road at the Aztec - this was pain free and the receptionist very helpful! Secondly, it is quite noising on the hallway - more at fault of our unfortunate neighbours being rowdy although road noise is minimal. Would recommend bringing ear plugs to be on the safe side if a light sleeper but otherwise spot on and still 5* based on price!
