My experience with this hotel was terrible. Absolutely arrogant attitude of employees. They have also charged us twice for one of the rooms and didn’t commit to the mistake. Only via the phone they have apologized and said they will fix everything, but via email they never did. During breakfast I had to ask three times for our table to be cleaned from previous people and staff was walking like they are in their sleep.

Friendly, efficient and helpful staff, large and quiet room, super convenient to central Budapest, lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance - will definitely return!!! Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special.

Hello, we have stayed in Dorothea for 3 days May 3-6 and we had two rooms. Generally the stay had positive sides - hotel is beautiful and nicely located. The problem is staff - they do require more training. During breakfast for example and check in. And the whole stay was spoiled by an accident that happened with room fee overcharge. And even after calling hotel and clarifying the issue they still didn’t return the money and don’t reply to any email. First time I see such attitude from any hotel.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Viking river cruise post-extention in Budapest. This hotel is over-the-top beautiful, with delightful design. Our room was stunning and cozy, with a king sized canopy bed, huge bathroom, floor-to-ceiling window/drapes and very quiet. Meaningful details like tasty macroons, espresso machine and refillable water bottles in our room were appreciated! The breakfast was delicious and well-served. The location of this hotel is perfect for foot traffic and getting around the most popular areas of Pest . Best wishes to this this establishment for continued success!

My wife and I spent a long weekend at this fairly new hotel in the heart of Budapest city center. We really enjoyed our stay and had a great experience. I’ll explain at the end by I didn’t give them 5 starts when almost everything was perfect. The hotel is new in a totally renovated building and every part of the hotel was carefully designed with a brilliant taste. The staff are very helpful and the location is super convenient for the tourists and you most landmarks are within a walking distance. The breakfast was great and the restaurant where it’s served is fabulous with plants in every corner and the surrounding feels very relaxing. Our room was super clean and spotless. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was they don’t accept euros for charges and I didn’t know nor they informed me ahead of my trip as a member of Marriott hotels. At check-in time, I was surprised and none of my cards worked but finally one card worked and I was charged for the entire stay in advance. I checked in very very late and it was very inconvenient for us to spend long time for the check in because of the currency. Anyway, we finally checked in and I expected an upgrade or a room with a view as a valued Marriott member but it didn’t happen. Afterall, the hotel is very elegant and one of Marriott group best hotels.

The best hotel we have stayed at. Beautiful, like staying in a museum. The food was amazing at the Pavilion restaurant and also at the bar/cafe where we went for a nightcap every evening. The room was beautiful big bathroom with plenty of space for our toiletries. The staff gets the highest credit everyone so nice and friendly, attending to our every need with interest and professionalism, nothing impossible. We loved staying at Dorothea and can’t wait to be back.

Excellent hotel and location. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. The room was a great size with everything we needed (but do need to put English breakfast tea in room). The bed very comfortable and so quiet. The hotel is in an excellent location just off the square near Madam Tussaud’s. Breakfast was an excellent selection. Just need to iron out a few teething problems with room service and the cleaning staff to be a little more observant. Once that is done it will be perfect.
