Palermo
I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and sometimes fortunate enough to stay at the finest hotels a city could offer, but no hotel compares to L’ Hotel Palermo. The staff, warm and always professional, went to great lengths insuring my stay was a first-rate experience and beyond. I was given a much needed electrical adaptor, a replacement Covid mask, a better reading lamp for my failing eyes, directions around town where the best pottery store could be found and the best bakery, the closest Covid testing center, and when I requested a pencil, Martin ordered one on Amazon. How about that? Now for the hotel itself… The swimming pool area is heavenly! One could bask in the sun, surrounded by the smell of grass with butterflies gliding above by the walls of ivy. Comfy chairs, stacks of towels, cool drinking water is available and the pool, though not Olympic size was perfect for my needs. Now for the complimentary breakfast … The usual complimentary breakfast is mediocre at best, so had no expectations what-so-ever- but the variety and quality of the L’ Hotel Palermo breakfast is something special. I appreciated every morning and every bite. Delicious croissants, a variety of cereal, cheese, lunchmeat, fresh fruit, a choice of juices, coffee, tea and more, was readily available starting at 7am. A real treat. The rooms were spotless, the bed was lush and comfortable and the powerful water pressure of the shower was a joy for this longtime New Yorker. If I sound like I’m gushing like the shower … I am, I loved L’ Hotel Palermo. In addition, the district of Palermo (shops and restaurants galore) along with the soulfulness of the people of Argentina had me yearning to stay, but all good things must come to an end. I wrote this review on my return flight home feeling satisfied with a heart filled with good memories. Special thanks to all - Mariana, Lucas, Martin, Lucila, Raquel, Norma, Jose, Juan Pablo, Jean Paul, Marina, Matias, Monica, Soledad & Matias. Their combined professionalism and grace made this weary traveler feel rejuvenated. One more thing - the hotel and swimming area are more stunning in person. The website photos, however good, don’t capture the magic and loveliness of L’ Hotel Palermo. Highly recommended! (obviously).

The room is quite unique and very cozy, but it is really not soundproofed and very noisy, and people here make loud noises from late into the early morning. The room is not big and the bed is small. The price/performance ratio is average. The location is around a relatively prosperous area. It’s more convenient for food and shopping, and the surrounding area is very safe.

I really enjoyed this place and cannot say enough positive things about my stay. Enchantingly quaint, charming, very comfortable, immaculately clean, an AMAZING staff and so convenient to everything. The property is beautifully appointed and my room was quite comfortable with a balcony overlooking the street. The location is within close proximity to all of the major sightseeing areas, including two subway lines, and is situated in a very safe, quiet neighborhood. Lots of very nice restaurants within an easy walking distance. Special shout-outs to staff members Román, Silvina and Eduardo for going above and beyond to make this such a pleasurable experience; they were awesome! I would gladly stay here again, if and when I ever return to Buenos Aires!

We arrived in difficult times (recently decreed Corona-virus-lock-down), but the staff was highly competent, helpful and effective in all aspects: ensuring highest hygiene and health standards throughout the hotel, and also supporting us in organising our flights home, etc. For normal times: Small hotel with tasteful ground floor and spacious, well equipped apartments and personalised service. Good location in a quiet street in a surrounding with the ”Old Buenos Aires vibes” feeling. All types of restaurants, bars and interesting small shops. Not too far from important subte (metro) stops.
