There are many structures in Italy that date back to 1100 and earlier. Some have been well restored and repurposed for the comfort of travellers who want to be surrounded by beauty, enriched with culture and treated like royalty. This is one of those properties. None of this could be possible without people: Helena, the architect of the project, her gracious husband and partner Eduardo and Laura, Eduardo's mother, a sommelier, great host and keeper of recipes I am trying to acquire. I registered for three days, stayed for five and left because I had other commitments.
