We booked 6 months in advance for a 2 night stay with our 2 young children. Only a few weeks before our stay the hotel cancelled our booking. The reason they gave us was that there had been an issue with the booking system and that they had now taken a private booking for the whole property. A convenient excuse, perhaps... They offered limited to no apology and no useful help to find alternative accommodation (they sent links to a few unsuitable options, including airbnbs). Given the short notice, other suitable accommodation was either booked up or charging high last minute prices. In the end we had to cancel our visit to Gaillac. I am writing this review as a warning to others considering booking here. The most basic thing a hotel should do is to honour bookings it has taken, particularly those made well in advance, and it seems this hotel cannot be relied on to do this.
