Protur Floriana Resort

I stayed here last month we booked through tui, 4 adults and 1 toddler. We all stayed in one apartment. We arrived around half 8 in the evening to the hotel, reception staff was lovely. They got us sorted and then said go get something to eat as the restaurant shuts at 9 and a young boy took all our luggage back to the hotel room for us as the complex is quite large. It was a nice touch and we was excited for what awaited us as it seemed like they had high standards. (The young boy deserves recognition he is the shining star of this complex he might of seemed like he was just doing his job but he also took us back to our hotel on the odd occasion with the golf buggy) We went to the restaurant food was limited but it was the end of the night so fair enough its understandable staff seemed nice enough in the restaurant at first. Hotel room was spacious and plenty big enough for us 5 it was on the ground floor though and we was told they were the biggest rooms we ideal wanted a balcony so the toddler was able to securely have some outside time but it was understandable. Restaurant staff odd ones were lovely but they were few and far between, there were some absolutely awful restaurant staff the manor of them wasn’t acceptable, we was spoken to like nobody should ever be spoke to, they had no respect. The restaurant let this hotel down massively. Poor selection of foods and quality lacking with certain foods. Not enough bigger tables indoors either. This has got to be one of the poorest all inclusive hotels I’ve been to. We had one free night in the other restaurant and they had it right in their manor they was all lovely and couldn’t do more for you but food choices are very limited in there, had there been more choice we would of paid to eat in there. We also had some takeout from it for dinners that we paid for. Swimming pools were good always clean, was always able to get a sun lounger although typical like always nearly everywhere you go, people putting towels on beds and leaving them there all day. Our apartment was very clean to a high standard upon arrival and the lady’s kept on top of it throughout the week. Entertainment was okay, the people in the kids club were friendly enough and couldn’t do more for the kids. Tui rep at the hotel is lovely we had a good chat with her and she helped sort a few things out for us, she’s there most mornings if not every morning. I will say more needs to be done especially in the restaurant with regards to children and even adults with hidden disabilities. My child has several diagnosis, she struggled and especially at the restaurant and then to have staff treat us so poorly to. We won’t return nor would I recommend this hotel as an all inclusive. If you stay here stay self catering because the all inclusive is not worth it at all.

A lovely resort, with helpful, friendly staff. Food was excellent with great choices & varied daily. Our Grandaughter thought food merited 4 stars. Free bike hire is a bonus, although bike locks were often missing. Evening children's disco seemed aimed at pre school age, yet many were older.

This was our first abroad family holiday with our children so wanted it to be really special and for them to have lots of things to do. It took a little while to get to Cala Bona from Palma airport but once we arrived we were very pleased! Check in was welcoming and easy and we were offered to store our luggage there so we could quickly get some lunch before they closed! First thing we noticed as we approached the restaurant was that there was a hand washing station, I thought this was great! Our first lunch was quick but lovely, we were just glad at this point to have a drink and some food! We went to our room which was up two flights of stairs, my legs felt it by the end of the week! Our room was spacious, clean and everything we needed for our break. The little kitchen area with fridge was very handy even though we were all inclusive, we were able to keep a few things cool and make up some squash for the children. The balcony overlooked the hotel opposite and had a lovely view of that pool. The bedroom had shutters and curtains so was really dark. The rooms were cleaned with fresh towels almost every day, they weren’t changed one day which we didn’t realise but that was fine. I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had during our stay. There was always an option for the children and good variety for the adults. I especially enjoyed the different salads and the lemon ice cream was pretty good too! The staff here work incredibly hard, they are always welcoming and very happy. They never once looked fed up if there was a spillage or food to wipe up off the table, they were exceptional. The entertainment in the evening was perfect for the children and we as adults enjoyed the music too! The bar staff were always coming around asking if we wanted more drinks and quickly clearing any empties away. The local town is just down the road, about a 10 minute walk away. We ate out one night and had food Smithy’s bar by the harbour. It was the best steak we have had in a very long time! Lots of shops all offering the same sorts of things, quite a trek to carry anything heavy back though. We did one trip during our stay and went to the Cuevas del Drach. We booked a boat trip with the moonfish glass bottom boat. We enjoyed the trip and although it was a 20 minute walk from the harbour to the caves, it was a quick 20 minute walk especially on the return when we needed to get back quickly for the boat! I would not recommend doing this if you need to get back quickly and have older, slower walkers with you. The caves themselves were fantastic though made extra special with the little concert. Overall we had a brilliant stay, food, drinks, entertainment, housekeeping were all excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a break in Majorca!

We stayed here in October this year (2023) and really enjoyed it. Family of four we opted for self-catering as we wanted to get about the island a bit. We did however try the hotel food which was good. Nice room. Excellent can’t do enough for you staff. Entertainment kept the younger kids happy. Cala Bona is a small little fishing town but there is plenty to do. Cala Millor is a steady walk away and has plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants. We also hired bikes and travelled to other arears. Food, people, free WIFI, free bike hire available from the hotel, everything about this place was good and on that basis I would recommend, and we would like to return.

We enjoyed this hotel, certainly one of the best we have stayed in at this price level. The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. The room was spacious with a bedroom, living room and kitchen area, a lovely balcony. The beds were on the firm side, just as we like them, and very comfortable. Food was very good, as long as with all hotels you chose the right things from what was on offer. Salads and fish were especially good. Drinks were of a good quality, the beer very refreshing and light, the rum, wines and martini also very drinkable!! We stayed in mid October ( 14th-21st) and the weather was in the main wonderful. Just one day of rain, but that was OK. Had nice walks from the hotel both north and south on the coast, as well as inland to the next town. The walk to the north is worth pursuing beyond the end of the promenade as the architecture improves by the kilometre. At just two hours flight from our local airport, this is certainly worth a revisit!!! Well done Protur Floriana. Congratulations to all of your staff for their dedication, politeness and friendliness. An excellent team who made our holiday first class.

The hotel complex is spread over a wide area with two separate pool areas and 2 pool bars. The staff were incredibly friendly, happy and helpful to all guests. The food is OK, not as high quality as expected or hoped for. There was no different restaurant option available. The rooms are clean and well appointed with fridge and kettle. The balcony was well located for good sunshine. The only problem in the room was the bed.,,,, which were both very very hard. I slept on the couch most nights as it was a lot more comfortable. The entertainment was very German based, good for the kids, but moderate for us adults. We were in block J near the second pool and bar. Disappointed that this bar was not free to all inclusive guests

We have just returned from a week at the Protur Floriana in Oct 23. We had already been in summer and decided to return as it's a great hotel for families. Our kids are 4 and 5 and had an absolute ball. Kids pool is ideal for them and they spent most of the holiday there. In the evening they loves the mini disco and all of the entertainment staff were lovely to us, wanting us all to have a great time. My kids in particularly loved Roberto and Maria and the blonde haired girl (sorry, didn't catch your name!), they always went out of their way to play with the kids and make sure they had fun. Cala Bona itself is a lovely resort, it has a lovely harbour area with nice restaurants and shops which are lovely but not too busy, ideal for families. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend it!

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday. I genuinely cannot understand the reviews that don't say this hotel is amazing. On arrival the receptionist was lovely. Check in was quick and we were driven to our room by a porter in a golf buggy. He even opened the room and brought our bags in! The room was lovely. We were in J2072. It was ground floor and the terrace looked over the pool. Don't think we could have had better placement. It had a large living/kitchen/dining area and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom had a bath as well as a shower that helped massively as we travelled with our 1 year old. Also the travel cot that was provided had an amazing mattress in it, and 1 year old actually slept better in it than he does at home. The only fault I can find for the room (actually the only fault for the whole holiday) was the beds. They were so hard, and being 6 months pregnant made it even harder. My body actually hurt when I got up in the morning! The food in the restaurant was beautiful. There wasn't a day when we didn't find something nice to eat. The restaurant staff were really lovely. The chefs were friendly and always smiled and said hello. The waiting staff were great. Massive thank you to Pili and Federico. They were so kind and patient with our one year old. He absolutely fell in love with them both and every time we were in the restaurant he smiled and waved when he seen them. The entertainment team were great, unfortunately, we didn't get any of their names but the man who mostly sat in the DJ booth made an effort to learn our sons name and even though he's so small, got him involved in everything. The rest of the team were also amazing. We enjoyed all of the acts we seen. The all inclusive drinks were absolutely fine. As I'm pregnant I was on soft drinks which tasted good, although I wasn't a fan of the Fanta lemon. It just didn't taste right. My partner said the beer was also good. You can help yourself to slushes and ice lollys too. The pools were lovely and warm for October and there was constantly a lifeguard on duty at every pool between 10 and 6. The cleaning staff were great. We had a red haired lady who cleaned our room and she was so friendly. Even on the one day she came and we couldn't let her in as our son was still asleep, she swapped our towels at the door, gave us a toilet roll and took away the nappy bin and gave us a new one. Every time we seen her around, she made the effort to smile and say hello. Even the maintenance men were friendly! The walk into cala bona takes maybe 5 minutes if you follow the path through the wooded bit at the back of the restaurant near the main pool. We cannot fault cala bona, we love it and this was our 4th visit, but first visit to this hotel. In summary, I would 1 million percent return to this hotel, and I cannot wait until my next trip here. We all had the most amazing time, and the staff made the holiday even better. Sad to be home.

Stayed for 10 nights sept 23 Fantastic hotel Reception Staff fab on arrival (Carman ) Even drove us personally to our Apartment . Apartment clean and huge great fridge never used cooking facilities as AI . Only complaint about apartment was Beds very hard even with topper on . Stayed in block J next to pool snack bar and Italian restaurant which unfortunately wasn’t open during our stay . Bar staff all so friendly quick and polite. Never a queue . You can serve yourself to beer soft drinks and hot drinks and slush , all areas spotless. Restaurant good and food fab best we have ever had at a 3 star AI . Staff very effecient and helpful . Main bar area good and staff so nice (Erica ) lovely girl x all fast and would serve you at the table nice touch for AI Entertainment early for children Adult Entertainment hit and miss a couple of good acts on during our stay . Would definitely return and recommend to others Management should be proud of the staff here fantastic Holiday !!!
