We spent 2 weeks here over Christmas 2023. We were a party of 4 ( husband, wife, daughter and son in law) from the UK. The hotel is well situated for Calangute centre, being a couple of minutes walk from the Baga Roundabout down a quiet street. It will cost around 200 rupees in a tuk tuk to Baga, 250rupees in a taxi and around 300 - 350 rupees to candolim so its very cheap to get around from here. We took a taxi from MOPA airport (1600 rupees about £16). Check in was very quick and straightforward. All the accommodation blocks here are served by a lift ( a big plus in Goa where lifts are rare). Our room (724) was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and the shower was great. The bathroom includes a wardrobe for clothes and a safe. There isn't loads of storage but - we brought far too ***y clothes given that the hotel offers a very reliable and reasonable laundry service. Our room overlooked the lovely hotel gardens. The room includes a mini bar ( you pay for items consumed) and you get 2 complimentary bottles of water per day. There is also a kettle and tea, coffee, sugar and whitener are provided. There is a restaurant and bar which is shaded and very pleasant. The bar staff are lovely and helpful and will try to accommodate your requests. We had several lunches and a couple of evening meals at the hotel and enjoyed them all. We also had fun teaching the staff to make Irish Coffee. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and consists of eggs ( cooked anyway you like except poached), cereal, toast, jam croissants, cakes, chicken sausages, and a full Indian breakfast selection plus tea and coffee. It is busiest between 9.30am and 10.30am. The staff spent a lot of time and effort preparing and decorating the hotel for Christmas, and it was lovely. We really appreciated it. There was a gala dinner Christmas Eve with a full buffet, consisting of soup, canapés, cooked meat, vegetables, salad, nibbles, and a huge range of curries, rice, bread and deserts. There was a DJ and a good singer. It was a really good night. Again, a lot of effort which we appreciated. The pool area was lovely with plenty of shade and sun. It was the school holidays so it could get quite busy with children in the morning but there was plenty opportunity for a swim. Pool towels are provided. The pool *** and the ground staff kept the grounds clean and tidy throughout our stay. The gardens are lovely. My only negatives ( and they are small) are that the music in the restaurant and around the pool could be a bit loud at times. Also it would be nice to have a ' no noise after 10pm' policy in the accommodation blocks. It was Christmas and people tend to be a bit more exuberant but it could be very noisy when guests were returning to their rooms in the early hours of the morning. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Goa has been heavily reliant on the domestic market since the collapse of Thomas Cook and the pandemic. They are ready and willing
