My partner and I stayed here last year with the premium upgrade, which sees you housed in a separate block and gives you access to the premium pool/ bar area overlooking the sea. On the plus side, the hotel is clean and pleasant enough. The views, both from the room and the premium pool area are to die for and are some of the best I have experienced at a hotel, with a wonderful sea view over the Mediterranean. There is a great all inclusive drink selection, which definitely isn't lacking alcohol content! The premium area is well equipped with large sun beds, an infinity style pool and its own bar with food service, meaning you never have to leave the area. The staff even bring snacks round on a platter throughout the day. The seafront location provides access to a path running along the coast and directly to a lovely beach, barely 5 minutes walk away. However, this hotel is let down the by food and the entertainment. The food really is a mixed bag. There is a great variety, no doubt, and some staples like pizza and Mediterranean salads were very nice. One night the chef freshly laid out a huge piece of fresh salmon, which I managed to bag a piece of before it quickly went. This was delicious. Fresh pork and chicken was also available which again was of great quality. Some nights, however, were a real let down. The worst example was the oriental theme night, for which the main attraction were the chicken satay skewers, which turned out to be mechanically formed and pre cooked - think Rustlers! I found most dishes unpleasant that night. Most mains throughout the week weren't much better. On the plus side, the premium areas buffet lunch each day was really nice, with a build your own burger station which we really liked. The entertainment really wasn't great. Now to be fair, when we stayed it was the start of the season and they only opened the outdoor stage mid way through our stay. The entertainment was provided some nights by the staff, others by third parties brought in, like most hotels and most nights it wasn't great - even the sound system didn't work properly most nights. By the end we went to our room early to enjoy the view from our balcony. And this is the other thing - unlike many all inclusive hotels, once the entertainment is on all other bar/ seating areas close down. You can't go have a quiet drink elsewhere, and once the entertainment finished at 22:00 the hotel effectively shuts down. Its either the entertainment or nothing, unfortunately. I would definitely recommend staying premium at this hotel overall, just be mindful of the above.
