This hotel is not 4*. The best part of this hotel is the staff, all were helpful and pleasant. Now the bad; no decent indoor bar, herded like cattle at meal times. Meals only served for 2 hours so always had to queue for dinner. No covered walkway between our building (premium) and the main building where the only dining room was located. 1 small bar of soap does not qualify as 'toiletries' in a 4*. Paid 180 euros to upgrade and then found out the premium chill bar wasn't open for 8 months of the year so all we got for our money was a sofa bed! Very disappointed allround, oh yes, no vegetarian options and plastic beakers or paper cups for drinks except in the dining room. Overall very disappointed.

We arrived at Hotel Palia Maria Eugenia on the 13th of April and stayed for a week. We arrived to a clean and welcoming reception, check in was super fast and efficient. We stayed in a double room with a sea view balcony, the view was stunning overlooking the coast and mountains in the distance. The room was modern bright and spotless and was kept clean by the cleaners (some of the best cleaners we have ever had in any hotel) Although the weather was a bit cooler, as you would expect at this time of year, (April 2024) we still made good use of the pool and surrounding facilities. The main pool was more than big enough for the amount of guest there at the time. In the peak of summer I would expect this to possibly be more crowded but there is an over 18 only pool with a bar and smaller plunge pool and also the premium areas for premium guests. With this in mind there is more than enough space for everyone (there is also slides and player area for children in the shallow end of the main pool) Plenty of sun beds, tables and chill out areas and a total of 3 outside bars (only the main pool bar and premium bar was open when we visited but in peak summer I imagine all would be open) You could help yourself to soft drinks and draft beer as much as you liked once you had a cup and there was also a selection of cocktails on the all inclusive with was nice as you don't get this in some hotels (premium cocktails were available at additional cost of 3/4 euros) Food was available all day! From 7:30 AM all the way the way through till 9:30 PM there was a good mix of local food but also staples that everyone would like, such as pizza (all fleshly made throughout lunch and dinner) pasta and sauce (again cooked fresh) there was also themed nights such as Arabic, Mexican and Chinese that gave a great variety through the week. Snacks were also available throughout the day if you wanted something lighter (this is some of the best food I have had in any all inclusive hotel). If I had any criticism about the food I would have personally liked it a bit warmer but this is down to more personal preference. The beach is no more than a 10 minute walk away and you can go directly out the back of the hotel on to the path along the coast line. There is also a few other walks that you can take near the hotel, all shops and bars are also within 2 minutes of the hotel including the mini golf course, shops, bars etc. The rising sun and German bar were two particular favourites of ours, great hospitality and prices in both. The rising sun is great to watch any sport and the owners are super friendly and the German bar had a great karaoke night The overall highlight of our holiday was by far the entertainment in the hotel. From early in the morning around 8am to 10pm at night there was always something to do and Hugo and the team always made every activity super fun and got everyone involved. The variety of activities was huge from archery to volleyball I never normally

Did not get offered premium when booking be aware if you want to use the large sun loungers and pools next to ocean you need to book premium. Food is the same every day morning lunch and dinner. Mostly cold as well. Had raw meat served one evening. We tried to order a drink at 11.05pm got told we would need to pay as we are not premium even though paid a fortune for all inclusive holiday! Don't go in April as everything is closed in the town. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Entertainment is awful as well. Very disappointed

Went for my ex-wifes 60th in May 2023. Very nice room with two full size and one single beds. Room was nice and clean, on the 4th floor with a good view out over the local area. Most of the guests were French and German but the staff all spoke English and made sure we were included in the activities. Food was typical Spanish buffet style so we always found something to eat, the desserts are very nice indeed! :) There's a few bars and restaurants in the local area and the beach is a 10-15 minute walk. We did the Jet2 excursion to Rancho Grande and that was a good night out. We also did the Sea Paradise cat trip up the coast, that was very good as well. And of course we got the bus up to Porto Cristo (about €2 each way) and went to the Caves of Drach, much cheaper tp DIY than booking the Jet2 excursion!. All in all it was a great holiday. I'm taking my friends here in April, so it must have been good! :)

My partner and I stayed here last year with the premium upgrade, which sees you housed in a separate block and gives you access to the premium pool/ bar area overlooking the sea. On the plus side, the hotel is clean and pleasant enough. The views, both from the room and the premium pool area are to die for and are some of the best I have experienced at a hotel, with a wonderful sea view over the Mediterranean. There is a great all inclusive drink selection, which definitely isn't lacking alcohol content! The premium area is well equipped with large sun beds, an infinity style pool and its own bar with food service, meaning you never have to leave the area. The staff even bring snacks round on a platter throughout the day. The seafront location provides access to a path running along the coast and directly to a lovely beach, barely 5 minutes walk away. However, this hotel is let down the by food and the entertainment. The food really is a mixed bag. There is a great variety, no doubt, and some staples like pizza and Mediterranean salads were very nice. One night the chef freshly laid out a huge piece of fresh salmon, which I managed to bag a piece of before it quickly went. This was delicious. Fresh pork and chicken was also available which again was of great quality. Some nights, however, were a real let down. The worst example was the oriental theme night, for which the main attraction were the chicken satay skewers, which turned out to be mechanically formed and pre cooked - think Rustlers! I found most dishes unpleasant that night. Most mains throughout the week weren't much better. On the plus side, the premium areas buffet lunch each day was really nice, with a build your own burger station which we really liked. The entertainment really wasn't great. Now to be fair, when we stayed it was the start of the season and they only opened the outdoor stage mid way through our stay. The entertainment was provided some nights by the staff, others by third parties brought in, like most hotels and most nights it wasn't great - even the sound system didn't work properly most nights. By the end we went to our room early to enjoy the view from our balcony. And this is the other thing - unlike many all inclusive hotels, once the entertainment is on all other bar/ seating areas close down. You can't go have a quiet drink elsewhere, and once the entertainment finished at 22:00 the hotel effectively shuts down. Its either the entertainment or nothing, unfortunately. I would definitely recommend staying premium at this hotel overall, just be mindful of the above.

Myself and my husband came for a 10 night stay, we paid extra for the premium experience our room was lovely, bright and clean with a stunning view of the ocean. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were left everyday always arranged in a nice design on the bed and the bedding was changed every few days. The staff were all very polite and friendly and spoke very good English which was really helpful, the buffet in general is what you would expect from an all inclusive and breakfast and lunch were always nice however… we did struggle on the evening at times to find something to eat surprisingly to say it is a family hotel with children chips/chicken *****s etc are not served every night so it’s no fussy eater friendly and in all honestly there is hardly any British food served it was mainly fish which neither of us like.. luckily pizza is served most nights which we did like. The snack bar throughout the day however I can’t fault it was burgers, chips, hot dogs etc.. My only big complaint would be that on around day 4/5 of our stay there was a large group of geordies who must have come as mates as they didn’t seem to have children with them on the first day by the premium pool there were annoying but tolerable just being loud and generally disruptive but as I say I felt I could manage however the next day they came to the premium area around 11ish/12ish time and from the get go one of them in particular was just loud and it was clear they had come to get pissed and cause as much disruption to everyone’s peace as they could the more they drank the louder they got and they had their own music blaring out as well, I put up with it for about an hour but when they were shushed by an elderly group of Spanish people playing cards the man thought it was appropriate to call them a c*nt and approach them to try to intimidate them which unfortunately he did and they got up and left a few other couples who would normally stay out until 4/5pm also got up and left I went and complained to the lifeguard who wasn’t in our pool area (which I think there should always be two one in each) and explained what was happening he said he would speak to them he went with another lady and seemed to have a word with them but it didn’t phase them and after they left they just carried on myself and my husband then went for lunch and I complained again to reception as there were just getting worse at this point now jumping into a pool that’s only 1.3 metres and dancing on sun loungers and swearing she said she would send the hotel manager which they did and again they seemed to have a word but they left and the group just carried on again so myself and my husband by this point had enough so we got up and left the area 3 hours earlier than we normally would have I complained a third time and said we had now actually felt so uncomfortable we had to leave the area we watched from the balcony no one went back out to them and they carried on until 6pm - in my opinion af

Amazing hotel from start to finish. All the staff were so friendly, from house keeping to entertainment staff. We stayed for a week and there was always something to do no matter the age. The views were breathtaking and beaches a short walk either left or right to the back entrance of the hotel. Would highly recommend to family's, couples or even a break away on your own.
