"As someone who has been to villa occitana multiple times in the last few years, I left extremely disappointed and will more than likely never go back unless it changes back to the way it once was. Previous times I have visited, most recently April 2025, before my last visit, the menu had been the same and the drinks were the same delicious cocktails. However, I’m not sure if there has been a change of ownership or what the story is but it has completely gone downhill. Previously cocktails were delicious, original to villa occitana, extremely great value for money. The cocktails myself and my boyfriend got this time, I don’t think you can even call cocktails! They were watered down, almost tasted like no alcohol in them, in miserable slim Jim glasses and charging the same price!! Absolutely awful. Next was the food…. I had hyped up this place to my boyfriend, ranting and raving about the food. Well once again we were extremely disappointed. We had a “beef salad”, that had 4 small pieces of beef and was on a bed of noodles that were soaked in what just tasted like vinegar. Next we got crispy prawns, the prawns hadn’t been cleaned, still visibly dirty on the inside! The other food we got was okay but again nothing special and nothing we would go back for. The staff were also very rude and seem incompetent. We were never asked how we were getting on, we asked for water never received it, placed on a crammed table for all our food. We had planned on staying for the evening , specifically booking on a Saturday evening where we could spend the night having some cocktails and relaxing to end our holiday. But that was far from the case, we couldn’t have gotten out of the place any quicker and instead left and went to another local restaurant were the food and drinks were much tastier and better and for a fraction of the price. I’m never a person to leave a review, but with this place that used to have such a high standard of food and drinks to go downhill so quickly in the space of two months is absolutely shocking. And I speak for myself and family and friends we will never be back unless we see huge changes back to how it used to be!"

"BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU BUY A GIFT VOUCHER. We bought a gift voucher for one of their packages costing 500€. This was to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I have work commitments every day from April until November so we’re looking forward to using the voucher over the winter. Sadly my husband who is in the military was posted away for lots of the winter period so we made a point of ringing the chateau 1month before the expiry date to ask if it could be extended for later in the year and we were assured this would be no problem. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago when we finally had a free date to go. We rang reception and the nice lady tried to make our booking but she said she was new so it was difficult for her as the reservation included 2 massages, dinner and an overnight stay. So said she would call us back. The next day she did to tell us we couldn’t use the voucher anymore. To say we were shocked was an understatement. I finally tried for a final time yesterday to ask them to change their minds but was met with a stone wall. Although after reading all the 1star reviews that this place has received over the last 18 months I see the attitude of the manager here is a huge let down to the company that own this wonderful establishment. I will be spreading my experience far and wide to save anyone else the disappointment plus the dishonest conduct of said manager."

"1. The receptionist was an old man who spoke almost no English. 2. The bed had no quilt or pillows, just two cushions. 3. The cushions were actually pillows. 4. There was a quilt in the cupboard, but it was filthy and even had blood stains. 5. The old man at the front desk brought us a duvet cover, but explained that quilts weren't standard accommodations and asked us to put it on ourselves. 6. The receptionist told us to talk to their boss if we had any complaints. Believe me, that's no use. The whole hotel is arrogant. 7. It was incredibly noisy! The windows were completely soundproof. There was a construction project outside that was noisy until after 1 a.m. and started again at 6 a.m., leaving us no time to rest."
