Cambridge Coach House

This was a very comfortable cottage in a rural setting just out of town. The cottages located close to the main house open onto a lovely garden. Checking in was easy and the staff very helpful. The only criticism we had was that the lighting in the bathroom was a little poor.
Cambridge Top 10 Holiday Park

My Mum and I had a 2 night stay at Cambridge TOP 10 Holiday Park, passing through for an event in Hamilton. We booked one of the Executive Studio Suites, a comfortable, clean and tidy suite. Reception team was welcoming and helpful. Only a block from a few shops, which we walked to one evening and under a 5 minute drive into town. Would recommend it..
Podium Lodge

We booked into Podium Lodge initially for two nights, We had a large family group of 3 x couples, a pet dog & parents in a campervan. Unfortunately one of our group was admitted to Hamilton hospital unexepectedly before we had even booked in. The staff went out of their way to help us & regularly checked in with us for updates on how our family member was doing. They kept the rooms pencilled in for us - ensuring that we didn't have to change rooms at any stage & in one case charged us at a lower rate than what they could have. They even left flowers & mandarins in our rooms - ontop of this the actual accommodation was fantastic with lovely clean, quiet rooms & very comfortable beds. All the staff were exceptional to deal with - even down to the cleaners who were awesome & took a personal interest in our welfare. We would all highly recommend the Podium Lodge as the only place to stay in Cambridge.
Kelly Rd Cambridge Lodge

I had two units to accommodate myself and my teenage son and a separate unit for an elderly relative. The TV volume would not go past 20 as it was pre-set. This made it impossible to be used by my elderly relative. The owners spent ages trying to find out how to change the setting. Eventually they got on the phone to the people they were rending the TV from and got instructions on how to change it which was good of them to make that effort. The unit my elderly relative was in had a walk in shower with a fold down seat which made it extra safe. Considering there was road works right outside the unit the double glazed windows kept almost all of the sound out. Overall a very good motel and the attentive friendly owners never showed any annoyance at the many requests for assistance that they got. I really appreciated their patience. The pillows are a little large and solid. If you are a pillow fuss pot like I am you should bring your own favourite pillow if possible.

Really good place to stay. Nice and clean, with aircon and even access to a salt water pool. Approximately 25 minute's walk from Five Stags - a good place to grab dinner and a few pints. The cast iron steaks and lamb were a really good experience for us.
No 1 Motels

We were supposed to stay 2 nights but departed late in the afternoon of the 2nd night as it was too noisey. This property infact is not what I would call a motel but more like a hostel as it has a shared bathroom and a community kitchen which is more in line with a hostel. The nosie from the next door rooms is loud with banging of doors at all hours and right outside our only window is a balconey which belongs to the community kitchen with guests right outside our window and so we couldnt open our window or blinds as everyone would be looking straight into our room. Our room had an ensuite of which we paid extra for which included freeview tv but no sky channels. The bed was supposed to be a queen but it was 2 singles pushed together. Dont choose room 10 ask for a room across the corridor or around the corner avoid being beside the kitche n to get some privacy. The good points were the water pressure was good as was the shower and shampoo and soap and towels were provided as well as a small fridge and clock radio. The was ac/heatpump in the room and the location of the property was central to eveything and within walking distance to town and eating places, I wouldnt stayagain due to the noise factor as well as it not being a motel but a hostel. The check in process was friendly and easy and housekeeping did a good job at cleaning our room.
