Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa

Amazing place to enjoy your holiday. The best hotel with a great view, nice and always clean rooms, very tasty food with a big selection of different cuisine. Many thanks to the people who works there - they are very friendly and always helpful, specially Khalil who was always making sure we have everything we needed and Roberto S. Each pool has its own bar where you can enjoy refreshing drinks and different cocktails made by professionals such an Antonio and Fabrizio! During the day there are many activities for kids and adults so you will not be bored (thanks for a Latin dancing lessons to Zidane ) That was our second time in Grand Palladium Sicilia and for sure not the last one.

Wonderful resort. Cannot fault the main things you look for. Lovely location, incredible food, very clean, and friendly staff always going above and beyond. We were able to check in early, always able to get a sun lounger any time of the day, and plenty of areas to spend the evening. Great entertainment each night too, the animation team were full of life. Only two small ******* which could send the resorts from 5* to 5*+. We stayed in a family bungalow and we noticed there was a small waft of damp in the bungalow. This is our second time at the resort, the first time being in a signature room. We did not notice this issue in this room so perhaps it is to do with the lack of ventilation or extraction fan in the bathroom or the bungalow? Secondly, when we attended Chang Thai, one member of our party ordered the Kare Raisu. Part of the dish is served in a coconut in a ramekin. The coconut was hot as it had food in it so he held onto the ramekin handles to pour out the coconut contents. The ramekin however was full of salt (unbeknownst to us) and resulted in an incredibly salty meal. As it was his own error, he finished he meal and mentioned the issue when the plates were collected. The server was in fact the restaurant manager according to the name tag, was quite patronising and said if he didn’t want this salt he didn’t know about in his food then he should have picked the hot coconut husk up to pour it out in order to eat the components together. That’s not really what you want to hear when the set up of the meal is impractical in the name of aesthetics. Other than that, Portofino was incredible for lunch everyday and the sports bar is an underrated gem. Loved our stay!

Everything about the hotel is great in May / June but facilities could be a bit tight if the hotel was full. There is no where to walk to outside the hotel just other hotels.

We got food poisoning here at the XTra Time bar on May 22. A couple of hours after eating my husband was vomiting for hours. On top of being sick, our room was really loud at night, and it was really difficult to get any sleep. This was a “deluxe garden view” room, which is very close to the lobby and entertainment. The hotel staff were nice about it but ultimately we checked out early after one night because there is no point in staying at an all inclusive hotel where the food will make you sick.

Everything you look for in short stays, good food and drink with nice views. Our stay was short and sweet. We arrived at 13:00 and were aware we would not be able to head to our room yet. Our bags were collected and the staff member at the desk told us to enjoy lunch and start the holiday, and that our room would be ready afterwards. Our room was a a family bungalow and the location is ideal. Views were picturesque and overall no major problems. Being picky the bathroom had very poor lighting and if not left to air after showers would smell of damp. Found the balcony loungers are a nice touch but they didn’t have much practicality as they only had sunlight middle of the day. Overall we found lunch at Portofino was superb and felt like an hidden gem. Amazing variety of Italian cuisine that varied for the 7 days we were there. Fresh pasta and meat each day. Had one moment of chicken not being cooked fully, but staff more than apologetic about this and quickly sorted. Cannot express the enjoyment of the outside restaurant with the views you experience. The three restaurants you are able to book are easy to do so with the app. Only problem is moving reservations but is expected due to their high demand. Portofino served a lovely Italian menu and would highly recommend the Cannelloni. Chang Thai had a great variety on their menu but I wish more adventurous items were on the all inclusive menu. Had a very nice meal but found presentation and practicality clashed. A member of the party ordered the Kare Raisu that is served in a coconut shell that you pour out. This shell is served in a small bowl but was was too hot so the member tipped the contents from the bowl instead, but quickly found out that the coconut was sitting on a heap of hot salt. They accepted it was their mistake but addressed it to be noted. The sever was found to be patronising and picked the shell up and said you pour it like this. This one moment did not spoil the meal or the holiday and on a whole the other staff members would go beyond to make your day or night better. Finally not much more can be said for El Dorado other than spectacular. The steaks they offer aren’t on the all inclusive menu but well worth the money and wouldn’t hesitate to pay again. We often enjoyed Extratime sports bar and found Salvo treated us like family. It was a nice bar to have a drink and some more food if anyone was hungry. The Main buffet was great for all three meals of the day. Breakfast was the same each day, so once you found what you liked you could nail it. Dinner showed a nice rotation of themes and was very surprised by the Arabian night with the high quality of food offered and variety. One small point is the fish does tend to have a lot of bones across all restaurants. Not a problem but something to be cautious of.
