The hotel location is not on the beach side facing the Caribbean Sea, but there is a free water taxi or shuttle to hotels of the same group. However, in other hotels, it is not all-inclusive, and there is an extra charge for drinking a glass of water at the beach.
The hotel's restaurant isn't very tasty, but it has a lot of variety.
But all in all, this hotel's CP is quite high, and the price is considered a cheaper option in the hotel zone.

Mexico and all the wait staff were amazing! We just wish the bar and entertainment lasted later. They were always smiling and taking care of people. The chef was the best at the restaurant and the food was amazing but way too much lol Thank you for a fun stay!

We had a very enjoyable time at Sunset Marina resort and yacht club. I would read it five star. Unfortunately, there was not a beach, but we are able to take the water taxi over to the Royal hotel and use the beautiful ocean. The staff was outstanding, great music and very relaxing.

Although this resort is not on the beach, it is perfect for families or those who prefer a quieter vacation. Guests have complete access to the beach through their sister resort, Sunset Royal. There is a complimentary bus shuttle, but the best way to travel between resorts is the water taxi! Don't miss it. We booked a studio room, and it was very spacious. It included a kitchenette which had a microwave, stove, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. The bonus was the patio with a private jacuzzi that overlooked the bay. So nice during a sunset! We did not choose the all inclusive. Many good restaurants on site, and at sister resorts. We like to explore, and ate at a few recommended local spots. We bought breakfast food at a mini mart close by. We were gifted 2 all-inclusive days for attending the sales presentation which was well worth it. We also recommend taking the ferry (UltraMar) to Isla de Mujeres. The launch is about a 15 minute walk from the resort. Very reasonalble at about 35 US$ per person/round trip.

This resort is older, Although it is pleasant clean. Servers and bartenders were Very nice! Small pools but quite nice. Choices of food are very grim. Lunch food in the pizzeria was probably the best… but it only took two hours to get it!! Asian restaurant is nice. Spanish Night in the buffet restaurant à la cart night. Unfortunately, which just did not bring the proper food. The food served was horrible. Chicken and pork was extremely tough. Nothing for nightlife. Have been to Sunset fisherman’s, Del Carmen , I would say it’s nice because it’s close to town. All inclusive price for timeshare members is over price you get $135 a day per person. People that went through Travel agencies, way cheaper.

Have been here 5 days, tonight is the España dinner. Salad was good, ordered soup didn’t come entrees were over cooked, the pork was so tuff I could barely cut it. Do not recommend this dinner option.

My wife, five year old son and I had an excellent stay at Sunset Marina. The room was fantastic with the bed and pillows allowing for a good nights sleep. The food was top quality, especially the sushi (Gracias Chef Lucio and servers Mary and Miguel) and breakfast omelet's (Gracias Consuelo). Hector and Gonzolo in the buffet were exceptional servers. Also, special gracias to Yazmin and Lizeth in the buffet for your quality service and being so very kind to our son Brady. Also, special gracias to Camila in the kids area. You are very kind and an outstanding chaperone for our boy. Of course, the pool and pool bar were top shelf. Stefanie at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. Our family highly recommends Sunset Marina.
