We started the trip in the bar with quick orders of drinks but found it quite strange that there wasn’t a drinks menu but other than that we sat in a comfy lounge area and then checked in quickly our room was really spacious for the price then we went down to enjoy the pool amenities which with a heated pool quite large and a steam room with eucalyptus oil we assume by the end of our night were so relaxed which was our entire expectation for the trip and the hotel exceeded it

Very comfortable rooms, very Clean, very nice View, service ok, all amenities, spa gym, pool and Sauna good. Very far away with no entertainment. Hotel only for rest and relax.

The staff are all lovely and helpful. The breakfast could not be faulted. But this isn't a 4 star hotel. It really doesn't tick the boxes for a 4 star hotel. The room was not as clean as we would have expected. There is damaged furniture, broken tiles in the bathroom (4 types of tile and none of them go together), black hairs on the bathroom door hinges, mouldy silicone, the shower screen deflector ***** was spilt and bits on the carpets. Carpets throughout the hotel are old and stained. The room could definitely do to be refurbished. The gym equipment was in need of cleaning and the pool showers need modernised. Broken tiles, puddles, blown timbers, and rusty patches could been scene around the changing rooms and pool areas. The hotel certainly did not have the 4 star wow factor.

This is the third stay here, but compared to the previous stay this was disappointing. Throughout the hotel there needs to be a deep clean and a paint job ( outside as well) The quality of food and service has declined quite considerably, overall we came away disappointed.

Was a little disappointed, service at our meal wasn’t great, we sat with empty drinks for half an hour. Upgraded room to a suite but again disappointed with the room.

Spacious and clean room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities within the hotel.

We were checked in on arrival by a friendly receptionist who was professional and helpful. The hotel was spacious with an amazing view of the golf course. The food in the restaurant was very nice. Congratulations to all the staff who worked hard to make our 2 night stay relaxing and enjoyable.

All staff very friendly. Great standard of cleanliness. Some things showing signs of general wear and tear...desk in room, cubicles in pool/spa changing rooms. Pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi all very good. Excellent tea/coffee trays in room. Good rainfall shower with plenty hot water. Drinks and food reasonably priced.Only complaint is lighting in the room...3 table lamps only giving a very dull glow...impossible to sit and read a book after dark. Very well situated for walks and visits to Dundee, Arbroath, St Andrews, Monifieth and more.

The hotel was very nice and the staff all very welcoming. We enjoyed the lounge and the pool for a nice chill out break away from home

This is the third time we've stayed here and once again it didn't disappoint. Nice and friendly at check in and then up to our suite with a great view from the balcony onto the 1st tee and 18th green on the Carnoustie championship course. We went down to the swimming pool later in the evening and were welcomed by a very friendly girl who used to train in fencing near us. The sword type rather than the garden variety. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic once again with the staff cheery and attentive. We will definitely be back for a forth time soon enough.

Excellent stay. The staff were all lovely, food delicious and beautiful surroundings. Will definitely stay here again.
