Only a short stay, very large room kept nice and clean. Lovely animation team working hard to make your holiday fun. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Didn't really eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food

Worst experience ever, I placed booking for 8 people 2 rooms. When I arrive I am told that reservations are only for 2 people. Do I have to pay an additional amount again? No help at all from the hotel. Worst service. Double screwed with trip.com

The water switch button of the bathroom in the room is missing, the sink is leaking, the curtain hooks are broken in many places, the furniture is old like a guest house, you need to remind the service desk for cleaning, the service desk does not actively provide beach towel exchange cards, the service desk staff is cold, and the corridors are renovated Like a prison, you don't take the initiative to inform the meal time. The porter service is more active.

Decent hotel for the price , good value for money. Rooms was good and kept very clean by our cleaner . Most days spent at the waterfalls pool with the barman “MO” being great at keeping our drinks flowing. Pool/towel guys Ahmed and Wabedey happy to move the lounger’s and parasols. Tawafek in the piano bay was always smiling .

The hotel was absolutely fantastic, great food. My girlfriend has a nut allergy and they couldn't be more helpful Chef Ahmed Haredy was particularly helpful every night. Bebo on the Piano Bar was also great, he made our holiday so much fun, really such a lovely bloke. The three pools and beach, are fantastic excellent food on the beach bar particularly the lunch we had prepared by Kareem who again was polite and couldn't do enough for us. Parasailing was available on the beach jetty and was a great experience, you just need to book a day in advance. We chose to avoid the hotel shop after a bad experience we found the shopkeeper a bit rude and wouldn't budge on very high prices, but there is a Metro store 30 seconds from the hotel gates which is great. We would also recommend the hotel update there hairdryers in the rooms as ours kept overheating. Despite these couple of small issues we would 100% book again as we had an absolutely fantastic stay

One word defines my stay at Aurora Oriental Resort: people. I planned my trip through Egypt (Cairo, River Nile - Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, etc) to end at Sharm El Sheik, to scuba dive and relax. Even arriving at 1am at this nice resort, they quickly prepared a light meal for me and my group. At the restaurant, on the beach, everywhere in the resort, all the staff smile to you and do all efforts to assist you. I really felt comfortable there and surely recommend the place for everyone!

The hotel it self is in a good location, grounds are very clean, staff are very helpful and this is as far as it goes. When we checked in the first room they gave us (on ground floor No 127) the bedroom was ok but the bathroom, well there was a hole in the bath and it had been filled in with plaster which had a crack in it, so went back to reception and told them, we was told to go and get some food and come back later while they sorted another room which they did (119), again the room was ok but let down by the bathroom which needed a good revamp, The food at the hotel was ok ish, we knew what it was going to be like as we have been to Egypt a few times now and we do go and eat out a few times while we are there just to have a change of food. The pools, there are 3 of them, the relax pool which has a swim up bar BUT the pool was stone cold so we only used this the once, the main pool, again stone cold and only used the once, the water fall pool was heated (just) but was small which we didnt mind, and of course the beach which we liked, now the only down side with the beach is that the bar at the beach, when the served food, as soon as it was put out it was cold, so this did not go down well. The drinks at the hotel was ok ish, there is the pit stop bar where you pay for better drinks, but the wine is not all that and sometimes its served in paper cups, the beer is so so unless you pay for it and get a better brand. So to round this up, Hotel is def not a 5 star, staff are good and hotel is clean BUT it badly needs a revamp with the rooms, would i come back to this hotel NO.

Had a fantastic, lovely, unforgettable vacation with great experience. The staff is doing great job with a big smile on their faces, the rooms are clean and very comfortable, the restaurant has a variety of local and international food, the pool is always clean, the private sandy beach is wonderful, the gym, a special thanks to the animation team with their non stop day and night activities especially to Abozaid Haitham (Zeita) and to Roody with their daily classes of zumba, stretching, aquagym, etc. with their Disco nights, Oriental, etc. Will visit you again in October. I recommend AURORA ORIENTAL RESORT.

Me and my family had a fantastic time, we stayed for 10 nights. We arrived late at night but the staff made sure we had food on our arrival in our room as we were hungry after our journey. We plugged the lamp on when we arrived and it blew the fuse for the whole room, we contacted reception and they had an engineer to us within 5 minutes who fixed the problem. Which we where very happy with how quickly they resolved the issue. We really enjoyed the food we thought there was a good selection however the alcohol selection could be better. The enrtertainment were really nice and always tried get us involved and gave our daughter lots of attention, Roddi was especially lovely! The best highlights where the incredible beach where you can snorkel and see coral and Incredible amount of fish, the waters are very well maintained and I saw zero rubbish. And secondly the staff where so friendly but the best was definitely Mohammed Nasser who always served us drinks with a smile. But Ahmed hanafy the life guard is a complete asset to the hotel, he works so hard In the sun , but still has time to make jokes with us, play with our daughter and give us lots of advice on where to go and help us with our travels, I feel we made a great friend with this lovely man he always checked to see if we were ok. Both men deserve a raise! I definitely recommend any family who want to have a relaxing and special time away in beautiful surroundings with beautiful people the only negative where some of the guests but unfortunately that can't be helped! Ha! Thank you to everyone at the Aurora Resort for a fantastic experience.

Absolutely loved my stay at Aurora oriental resort! We was upgraded to a pool view room on arrival, which was beautiful & clean, food awaiting for us due to coming in late. Animation team were fab, getting everyone involved in what was going on, and making us laugh daily. Entertainment was good. Food - plenty of various choice to choose from even for the pickiest of eaters, restaurant had its refurb and looks amazing. The beach was clean and stunning, take a walk up the jetty for some snorkelling, water sports available was a good laugh too! Overall loved my stay and will definitely be back! Thank you to all the staff who made our stay incredible.

Our family of four spent an all-inclusive week at the resort. We stayed in a garden view room, which was perfectly adequate, but certainly not 'five star' by UK standards in terms of room furnishings and finishes. One disappointment was that the WIFI could not be accessed in the rooms and was only accessible in the hotel restaurant and lobby. That said, we absolutely loved our week at Aurora. The hotel private beach has a jetty that gives access to a coral reef. We brought snorkel sets from home and saw amazing sea life. The Red Sea is brimming with it. We also enjoyed swimming at two of the hotel pools. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals - an amazing selection of food. It certainly caters to all palettes. Our boys tended to stick to the more conventional western options (BBQ, chips, pasta, pizza etc), while we explored some of the oriental dishes. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. One person stands out and his input made a huge difference to our holiday: Chef Ahmed Haredy was extremely attentive to my 11-year old son, who is coeliac (gluten intolerant). Ahmed would daily check in with us at each meal and kindly guide my son through the food options that were good for him. He was extremely knowledgeable on all the ingredients in each dish, and he often went out of his way to prepare something just for us when there were no available options. The hotel also has a programme of evening entertainment for adults and kids including a fire show, violin performance, discos etc. We would definitely stay at Aurora again!

Had a fantastic experience with my family, the staff where all very fantastic and accommodating, the pool and facilities where brilliant and the food was very tasty with a wide range of dishes all cooked to a high standard. I would like to point out two staff who where incredible and went above and beyond to help me and my family, Mohamed Ali from the waitering staff who always made sure I had a drink on my table and had a positive attitude and Ahmed the life guard from the middle pool who was incredibly hardworking and gave us so much attention he was such a brilliant help. The only criticism is they didn't have any known brand alcohol on offer or for sale so we just stuck to the beer and wine.
