Cheap Hotels in Cairo

"I'm not sure why this hotel gets so many recommendations. In terms of room size and cleanliness, it was the most disappointing hotel of our trip! First, I wouldn't recommend the balcony room. It's tiny, and all you get is a balcony that overlooks a dirty, messy, enclosed alleyway, offering no view whatsoever. Second, the room truly is small. If you're traveling with two 28-inch suitcases, opening them up is a challenge. You might be able to fit one 28-inch suitcase by the window, but the other 24-inch one would have to stay by the door. And you'd have to close them up every time you wanted to open the door to enter or exit. Third, the bathroom drain had a really strong unpleasant smell, especially after being closed up all night. Even running the fan didn't help; it would just switch off after a short while. The hotel is quite new, and the overall service attitude was impeccable. However, breakfast was very basic, offering just coffee and tea with very limited choices – hardly any fruit or bread! It definitely doesn't compare to another hotel we stayed at for the same price. Also, the elevator doesn't go directly to your floor. It stops halfway between floors, so you have to climb a half-flight of stairs with your luggage."

"Our honeymoon at your hotel was truly unforgettable. The scenery was breathtaking, and we had a wonderful evening at the revolving restaurant, which boasted not only magnificent views but also a delightful atmosphere. However, what impressed us most was the incredible honesty and integrity of your hotel team. My wallet was lost, and the hotel staff went to great lengths to find and return it to me; their kindness truly saved our trip. We sincerely thank Mohamed and his colleagues for helping my husband recover his wallet, and also thank Alaa Ahmed at the front desk for her warm and professional service, as well as many other friendly staff members. Their kindness made our honeymoon even more perfect. We highly recommend this hotel to all guests seeking excellent service and a wonderful holiday experience!"

"I had a very satisfying stay here. First off, the location is excellent – right in the bustling heart of downtown Cairo, yet surprisingly quiet. It's just a 10-15 minute walk to the Egyptian Museum and a nearby metro station, and about a 20-minute stroll to the Nile River. There are plenty of restaurants and bakeries around, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room had a fully equipped kitchen, which was great for making breakfast, and there was a common lounge area on our floor. Getting to Cairo Airport by Uber only took about 30 minutes."

"Highly recommend! The front desk staff were super enthusiastic, and they even offered luggage storage. The location is fantastic too – just across the road from McDonald's, so food and drinks were never an issue. Getting a taxi felt very safe, and the area is surrounded by shopping malls, so it's lively at night, but the soundproofing is excellent!"

"Location is ok, good options for food or shopping. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast is really great. Bit of a downside that the wellness area (sauna, steam and hottub) is divided to male and female section (which was a bit unexpected for us). Gym is really well equipped."

"The hotel is very conveniently located near airport, making it a best choice for travelers who are on short visit to or transit via Cairo. The facilities are outstanding with a well maintained swimming pool, nice restaurants, souvenir shops and with nice & attentive staffs. The check in was made a little earlier and smoother via online check-in. The room is clean, well maintained and spacious for the price range. The hotel offers free shuttle service to all the departure terminals (once in 30 minutes for 24 hours) and the complimentary buffer breakfast was awesome with a wide spread of menu items."

"Exceeded expectations! The location is superb, with plenty of options for sightseeing, taxis, and dining nearby. If you enjoy nightlife, it's also easy to get a taxi to Zamalek. Throughout Cairo, getting a taxi around Tahrir Square was the most convenient, and all rides were based on metered fares. In more remote areas, drivers often cancel orders and demand flat rates, but you won't encounter that in the city center here. The room was exceptionally spacious, the staff were friendly, and the buffet was so delicious we didn't want to leave. Remember to bring an EU plug adapter!"

"Hi there my one night stay at Ocean Blue was so amazing and quite wonderful. The place is clean located very close to Terminal 3 from where I took my flight to my destination. The room is big enough and very quite. I was so glad to have a very understanding staff and very helpful I do remember omar and Mohamed who were advised me how to go to airport. I am recommend every one reading this review to book and stay for long time and not one night."

"My flight arrived really early, and it was a super short walk from the airport – just off the skybridge! I was so surprised and happy that the hotel front desk allowed me to check in early. It was perfect! I could get into my room, freshen up, and then head out to explore right away. This hotel is incredibly convenient for transit passengers! The room was clean, comfortable, and absolutely great!"

"Excellent place and great people I was visiting Cairo for several days to refresh old memories because I have lived in Zamalek 50 years ago. I looked for the hotel just somewhere in the heart of Northern part of Zamalek, and location at Taha Hussein street was the best possible option, so I have chosen The President hotel. I had just general expectations as from regular three star hotel, but staff and hotel amenities have exceeded my humble expectations far beyond! The room was very clean and spacious, slippers, toothbrush, shower supplies, teapot, tea, coffee bags, minibar - everything was very nice and provided. Starting from security at entrance and reception (I was put to the level where restaurant is for my convenience), everyone was very nice and polite to me. Housekeeping by Mohammed Eldeep was perfect. Service at breakfast was outstanding (and at dinner too), and chef Mitu had cooked the most delicious food with personal attention and kindness. And tour service provided by manager Dahy was beyond perfection - utmost and ultimately outstanding and fabulous. I was taking complex trips around the city and transfer to the airport. With the greatest scrutinous attention to details from Dahy I got excellent service and very professional drivers so my trips were exceptionally planned and fulfilled in time. To wrap up, I strongly recommend the President hotel due to mostly positive and splendid emotions I have received there during my 3-nights stay. Area has great infrastructure once you need 24/7 groceries, pharmacy or ATM. Don't recommend to drive in Zamalek, better take cab or walk."
