Absolutely wonderful manager Sri Pawan. Could get instant solution for any issues. My wife dashed against glass wall and he immediately ice pack and assistance before we could say a word.My wife recovered very quickly .Foodwise it was top class. Every minute attention was given to every item. Top it all we could get tips on yoga when we asked him. Room was v good.well done polo,keep the standards. Exceeded my expectation

Amazing hosts and views! I arrived and went right onto a beautiful sunset hike led by the head of guest relations who also is an amazing yoga instructor! Nicest place in the area for sure, good food too at the restaurant! Highly recommend staying here when you are in the area!

Well located, one can view the seven sisters waterfall when visiting during the right season, Beautiful property. Courteous staff. The Pre-Christmas party was fun and well managed, thanks to the host Maddy for the lovely evening. The food was great and so was the breakfast.

Awesome service 24×7, Staff is always ready to serve you in every aspect. Personalised bornefire and live singing arrangements was done for us on our request. Sita's (singer) voice is comparable to Shreya Ghosal. Pawan was managing the oveall functions and staff in a very efficient manner. Pradeep is leading housekeeping department is the best *** to approach for any need. Jacob is manging the restaurant is very polite and makes you feel at home. Food quality and taste is very nice. Somnath Pujari is the spa manager, he is very polite and open to everyone .spa service is excellent and for senior citizens who needs spa service but are unable to walk are given the spa service in room. Spa service makes you sleepy and release all tension inside. This is the service which we were expecting and got the same inside spa. All staff members are warm nature guy and polite also. Special thanks to Pawan, Rajeev, Pradeep, Somnath Pujari, Jacob, Roman, Sita (singer) . This stay at the resort will remain in our memory forever.

Location is excellent. Cleanness is good but rooms need maintenance. Wifi is not working properly. In my room no 511, mobile signal is not coming, moreover intercom is also not working. How we get connected with reception, is a big challenge. They should change the name of Hi Tea. Because it's not a hi tea. It's just tea with one snack. They need to know the meaning of hi tea. They offered hi tea on 1st floor, so for them ,its high tea. Food quality is good. There junior staff needs training. They don't wish you when they pass. They close lunch orders before mentioned time in menu.

I stayed at Polo with my family for two nights. The check-in was a breeze. Local drink served was fabulous. The welcome was great. Service was good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food I believe was the best across any property I stayed in Meghalaya. Pool and Recreation room was perfect. We enjoyed evening high tea with good sunset view from the balcony. Everything was good but the room felt outdated and lacked modern amenities. The decor was quite old-fashioned. The room could be renovated to feel more contemporary. On the contrary, bathroom was nice, clean and modern. The property is also highly overpriced but there are very less option in Cherrapunji so you have to bear the price. Overall an amazing resort but overpriced.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Polo Orchid, Cherrapunjee. The room I am staying is 503 and it is unclean, and the service is poor. The staff seemed uninterested in addressing our concerns. Some specific issues we faced include: - Uncleanliness in the room and bathroom - Slow response to request - No hot water in bathroom -Poor wifi Considering the price and expectations, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Hopefully, they'll address these issues.

This hotel may or may not be good with its facilities but it's definitely one of the worst with its philosophy on customer centricity and what is truly profit. We had booked this hotel for 5 nights in June 2025 and the day of our departure, there was a red alert issued by the Assam and Meghalaya states and weather department because of floods and landslides. We were at the airport but had to cancel our trip for safety reasons. We informed them and requested for partial refund if not whole. However the management not only was unempathetic but also absurd enough to encourage us to still travel without ofcourse agreeing to refund a single penny. This is even as their rates crashed on various websites for the same period because perhaps multiple people were cancelling. This is when other 5 star hotels and airlines willingly refunded partial / full amount. Clearly this hotel management is more interested in making short term profits than long term returning customers. I shudder to think of their support and attitude had we reached there and been stranded if weather conditions turned worse. They would probably just abandon their customers for profit.

I was travelling with my 1.5 yr old baby. The facilities staff food were all top class. Jacob, Trillionce, Rohit and Firstborn took special efforts to handle my baby which was icing on the cake. The view from our room alongwith pool were a lifetime experience. If we tell the staff tha our baby is sleeping they wont even knock the door instead they will call.

Stopped in for food and drink as we passed this lovely looking resort after trekking to the double decker living root bridge. Great choice, Akash the barman made us a selection of top quality cocktails from the menu and of his own creation. The gin, coriander and peri-peri was something very different and beautifully balanced. We tried the continental food which was well executed and the place is nicely decorated. Well worth a stop if you want to try quality in this area.

The resort “Polo Orchid Cherrapunji” is situated at a stunning location offering mesmerising views of the Seven sister waterfall and Sohra valley. Good offers are provided while rooms are booked directly from the Polo towers group or their hotel website. The staffs are extremely friendly and hospitable. We had requested for a room upgrade based on the availability and the senior reception manager Ms. Mary and other reception staff ensured a smooth transition of the room upgradation from “Sohra family suite” to “Misty Mountain Villa”. We were quite delighted with the upgradation. The resort offers recreational facility, boasts a beautiful infinity pool facing the seven sister waterfall and Sohra valley. The Sohra house (restaurant) provides tasty varieties of food (Asian, Continental and local cuisines too) and room services are prompt. The recreational manager, Mr. Pawan was very friendly and organised a double drive waterfall trek for us when we had requested. My wife and son enjoyed it a lot. The trek spot is only 15-20 min away from the resort. The resort is well located that Mawsmai caves (10 min drive), Nohkalikai falls (25 min drive) and Double decker bridge trek at Tyrna village (1 hr drive) are easily approachable. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a memorable one. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Polo Orchid team.

A gem of a luxury resort in the lap of the majestic East Khasi hills in Cherrapunji. Polo Orchid has got everything right starting with the location, overlooking the 7 sister falls, the facilities including their hallmark infinity swimming pool, lawns, recreation rooms, activities and topped up with great service. The rooms in the new block come with 5 star amenities including a balcony with a direct view of the falls, bathtubs or splash pools makes it an ideal leisure or honeymoon destination. The restaurant is top class with a sprightly live musical session and bonefire in the evenings (rain check). Finally, I have to mention the superb attentiveness of their recreation manager, Pawan Singh. He knows how to make your stay and holiday experience more special. Do ask for him, for a helpful chat. If you are planning a trip to Meghalaya, do ensure to add in a stay in Polo Orchid, while you are there. It will elevate your holiday experience for sure.
