The location of the hotel is convenient if you want to visit the sites around Chicago loop. My room was facing the road and it can get a bit noisy from the traffic.

Had to park several blocks away. They take a $150 deposit when arrive on top of your room charges. They have no provided breakfast, no pool, do not provide any privacy door hangers, no microwave in room. And my room had roaches!

One of two elevators was out of service for maintenance since days and for all our stay and it caused long wait line with waste of time ! Also the 09/04 no cleaning room service cause “ Labor Day” ! I personally think this is unacceptable and they should give us a refund for those issues…..

Funky and efficient spot in River North as the property was bustling . Front desk staff was young, helpful, and efficient and the bar restaurant off the lobby was busy but not overbearing! The valet parking is actually behind the building as there are 2 or 3 sister Marriott properties that share the service…it worked well…We got an upgrade to a top floor which was great for my daughter and I… room was well designed, great views, shower pressure was great, and the beds were super comfortable…very convenient spot to Grand loop station (red) and tons of dining options right out the front door…given the price point, worth the money and I’ll be back..

Accidentally booked this hotel to stay next to Northwestern Hospital through a 3rd party. Meant to book the Mag Mile location. I called and explained the situation to the hotel and so did the third party but they refused to transfer the location. I ended up being charged for both rooms for a total of $700 plus dollars. I reached out to Marriott corporate and they said it is up to the hotel. Thank you so much for helping me with my elderly mother.

My daughter and I booked the Aloft for one night on the eve of the Chicago Marathon, as she needed to be at the starting corral by 0530! Our room was on the top (18th) floor; it was very comfortable and quiet, making it an ideal location. The reception staff was very courteous and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. They were even flexible in extending our checkout time to 2:00 pm on the marathon date. Was the room worth the $550.00 per night? Obviously, with the great demand for the marathon, it is understandable that hotel rates across the city were higher than usual. But it was an ideal location, close to many great restaurants and cafes, and I would not hesitate to stay there on a future visit.

Rooms are cramped (too much furniture). $500+ per night and MAYBE you'll get housekeeping every 2 days (it's 3pm and still waiting). Beatrix is a delightful restaurant, but could not even get seated on 2 different days (over an hour wait for breakfast). Elevators, lobby all lacking simple daily housekeeping. Best thing I can say about this stay is that the Front desk staff is delightful and helpful. Considering the number of hotels nearby, I would definitely NOT return to this Marriott ALoft property.
