Was in Chisinau for the Moldova v Scotland World Cup qualifier football match, and had visited Chisinau in 2004, so had a basic understanding of the lay out of the city. My first thought was this hotel was a little out of the way compared to the rest of the city, yet it is conviently located near to a lot of things, so do not need to worry about that. I arrived around 10pm by train from Odessa, and took about 10 minutes to get from the train station (I recommend using the Yandex taxi app, as its the one way to make sure you will not get conned by a taxi driver) and was checked in to my hotel room in no time. Hotel is nice and modern, with the rooms were spotless and very large (for a twin room it felt like I had a suite almost) and one of the best I have stayed in. Breakfast was served in the restaurant across the road, and was very tasty. Unfortunately I had arrived late and finding food was really hard, but the girl in reception offered to order me a pizza using the app in her phone (but it would have taken 50 minutes). Only thing that stops this being a 5 star reception is the reception staff, as there never seemed to be anyone at the reception as they were always outside having a cigarette, and on my last night I had a 5am flight to Bucharest, and asked the reception if I could get a 3am wake up call, which got a reply of "I want to sleep, can you not use your phone?" which I found rather cheeky. Apart from that, a excellent place to base yourself in Chisinau.
