Liberty Fabay - Ultra All Inclusive

We have been visiting Turkey for 15 years and enjoyed many holidays, we also enjoy trips to Mexico/Jamaica/Thailand and the Emirates for some context. We stayed at the Fabay for 7 nights as a family of 4, my wife and I and our 13 year old twins, first impressions were good, the hotel is well appointed as are the rooms. Arriving fairly late the checkin was slick. The following morning when attending breakfast at the main buffet we were quite shocked by just how busy it was, quite chaotic, very full, this theme unfortunately continued throughout our stay while using the main restaurant. The food quality is good it’s just the environment you are trying to eat it in. Pool Area - We failed to get a spot by the pool on any day over our stay, you have to get up very very early (7ish) as reserving beds is very much the way it works. The other issue you notice is the beds are wedged in side by side, so it’s a very crowded experience. We did find some quieter space towards the beach. The pool area is simply not big enough for how many people are staying at the hotel. Restaurants - We also failed to get a booking at any of the a la carte restaurants throughout our stay, despite numerous attempts from day 1. That unfortunately meant using the main buffet, which as mentioned is quite chaotic, we opted to eat out twice due to the repeated buffet and over crowding becoming draining. The building work! Next door there is a massive new hotel being built, this build is way behind schedule and works run all day into the night. Our room was quite near this, the whole room was shaking on times from works going on. We raised with reception who said our travel agent should have informed us of this. We continued to challenge this and eventually were moved to the other side of the hotel. This was much better. We later learnt that due to the hotel next door being late opening, they are allocating booked guests to the Fabay, this is the root cause of the over capacity issues experienced throughout our stay. I will say the staff do work very hard and are also polite, however the management do not seem to care about the over capacity issues which are really impacting peoples holidays. We have previously stayed at the Tui Blue next door (previously the sensatori) this is much more spaced out and on the 2 occasions we stayed there much less crowded and for us a better hotel for it. Liberty Fabay has great potential, they just need to reduce guest capacity so the required service mlevels can be achieved. Also expanding the pool area would really help. This was not a cheap holiday, so I think my comments are a fair challenge to the hotel as people are paying a lot of money to stay here.

Fantastic hotel! Staff very attentive, food is excellent, lots of great entertainment including pool foam party, white party with dj and shows. Beach bar lovely and great for sundowners with music. Slides and arcade is good for the kids, nice room, plenty of bars and branded drinks and ice creams included. Spa also lovely, indoor pool is big and treatments are good.

What a fantastic holiday. It’s always reassuring when you see that the reviews on TripAdvisor are genuine and Liberty Fabay definitely deserves its 5/5 status. We had an amazing week and we have highlighted some of our reasons why. Staff A lot of the reviews mention the staff and for very good reason. They are amazing, every single one of them! We didn’t meet anyone who we wouldn’t have scored 10/10 and I cannot ever remember a situation where we could say that. The hotel manager should be very proud of their team who have been trained to the highest standard. The staff to customer ratio was good, so you were never waiting long. The staff were so good in fact, that it was really difficult to tip individual staff members, so we ended up giving a tip at every bar and restaurant we regularly frequented. I feel mean for singling out any single member of the team, but there were a few who warrant special mention: Hazel and Gizem from the Lobby Bar who were genuinely lovely and hard working. Selman at the Beach Bar who made the best cocktails, including many that weren’t on the menu. His frozen passion fruit margaritas were sensational. Benji at the Asian restaurant who was attentive and funny. In fact, all of the staff in the Asian restaurant were amazing, but Benji looked after us personally; hence his name check. Gamze at the Balbura snack restaurant who always made you feel welcome and she had the most incredible smile that could light up any room. Hotel We stayed in a private suite with its own pool and the room was wonderful. It had a separate bedroom and living room as well as a large balcony with sea and pool views. The room was spotless throughout and the mini was kept well stocked. The only issue we had with the room was that the private pool was absolutely freezing. I don’t mean just cold, I mean it was an endurance test just getting in. It was so cold, I think the longest I managed to stay in was 5 minutes. We asked at reception whether we could pay to have it heated, but that wasn’t an option which was real shame and it just meant that we didn’t use the pool all week. Upon arrival, the hotel had laid on a selection of treats in our room, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The location of the hotel was quite remote. It’s in an up and coming area, but it is away from the main local towns. Expect to be travelling on dirt tracks the nearer you get to the hotel, but don’t let that put you off because the hotel itself is amazing and you won’t want to leave. In reception, they have a price list for taxis, which were reasonably priced, reliable and really quick. I read an article about Liberty Fabay where the journalist said it felt a bit like you were on a cruise ship, and I get what they mean. You had a main promenade with bars, shops and restaurants coming off of it, a plethora of pools and the main entertainment venue put on very professional shows, better than you’d expect from a hotel. This is as our second stay at Fabay and the new changes make it even better. The new adults pool is fab and the Indian restaurant was tasty, The cocktails are the best we’ve tasted at an all inclusive using branded spirits. Entertainment team were fab, Senem was brilliant. Our room was nice, always cleaned brilliantly by Hatice our cleaner. Fab mini bar always topped up and full of We booked this Cabana this time and it was definitely worth every penny. The service was outstanding Cebrail and his team (Enis, Volkan, Feyzi) were so efficient, friendly and attentive. Staff always went above and beyond, these guys stood out by a mile, Bunyamin in the snack and Asian restaurant. Kursat in the Asian, Kaan pool bar on rollers skates service us all so effortlessly. Umit and Akif at the beach bar always friendly and serving the tastiest cocktails. Finally big thank you to Gamze guest relations leader who is absolutely amazing and best. She is Caring, thoughtful, and efficient a credit to your hotel.

Kursat at the Asian restaurant was amazing! He was friendly, personable & attentive making our visit really nice. The food & wine was also very nice, most enjoyable restaurant so far. We had a few dishes which were all cooked nicely and very tasty!

Kursat was a great guy, very funny, in our hearts still. Great place lovely friendly staff would thoroughly recommend to people staying at the hotel as one of the a la cartes that they have to offer. Good choice of food and very fresh, defo recommend the spring rolls
