I booked this hotel for a family birthday celebration. We had 6 rooms in the hotel and 3 apartments. The families with small children stayed in the apartments and they were all sided by side and easily accessible to the hotel facilities. The rooms in the hotel had luxurious bedding and everything was spotless. The Manager,THanks James was very attentive to our needs and gave us a big welcome. He organised a lovely private room for the birthday celebration, and the food for 24 people was just super and 2 waiters we had on the night were so patient (with the small kids running around the place), helpful and attentive in every way. I had lots of contact for arrangements with the hotel prior to my stay at each call the staff again were so helpful. The location of the hotel is in a beautiful scenic area and well worth the journey, and there is lots to do in the town itself and the surrounding area. I can't recommend this hotel hit enough - A big thanks to James and all his staff. Cathrina (Roscommon)

We have just returned from a lovely break at the Clifden Station House. An annual visit is always diaried and ,as always, we're never disappointed. Staff are so welcoming, food in Carriage and Signal restaurants is excellent. Pint was very good too - I actually complimented Martin, the bar manager, on the quality! Rooms are spotless and very well maintained. Their slogan says that they "Go the Extra Mile - they certainly do. We'll done to James and his team.

The size of room, cleanliness of room and the hotel the breakfast and evening meal all have been excellent. The only thing not so good has been unavailability of reasonably hot showers but otherwise everything good. The hotel is situated in middle of town accessible to many shops bars and restaurants.

Excellent service, very nice hotel, live music in the bar to listen too. Great breakfast. Location was brilliant too with free parking. Would recommend to others who are staying in Clifden. Whenever we needed anything the staff were really helpful

Just back a few days from just another great stay at this hotels in Clifden. The staff, service and food is all amazing. The hotel is spotless, rooms have everything you need and the breakfast and Dining is amazing. Would not stay anywhere else. Thank you James and all your staff 5 Star as always.

I am in the midst of a sleepless night because of a celebration party directly below my room. The music started at 10pm and I have an early departure in the morning. I and others have complained with no resolution. No rooms available for us to change. The hotel should have booked the people to attend the party on the lower floors and other traveling guests on the upper floors. The reception stated this was unexpected and I understand they turned the music down, but it has not helped in my room. The people in the room next to us checked out. Otherwise the hotel has been nice. I would certainly insist on an upper floor.

We had a wonderful trip to Clifden in the Station House Hotel. We were travelling with family and stayed in the 3 bed hotel apartment. The accommodation was fantastic and had everything you could need for a trip away from home, beds were very comfy and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Parking right outside our door. We had great fun in the pool and there was also entertainment on hand for the kids. We ate in the hotel and the food was first class, and the service was excellent, all of the staff we met during our stay were so friendly and helpful. I would gladly return for another stay and next time we intend to extend our stay. On returning home we realised that we had forgotten my daughters Peppa pig arm bands, which she is so attached to, I phoned the hotel and they couldn't have been more obliging, they located the arm bands and posted them to me, free of charge, we had them back in a few days and my daughter was delighted. They really took customer service to the next level and I would really recommend a stay here. Top Class!

From the beginning, the staff were so friendly and very helpful for orientation of the hotel grounds. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment and it was very nice furnished and spotless on arrival with welcome pack of fresh brown bread and butter with jam, milk and orange juice and also tea, coffee sugar. Apartments are well stocked with towels, tea towels and enough bin liners, dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid to sustain a 5 day trip for 2 adults and 2 kids. This hotel is Fantastic to base yourself for so many days trips such as Killary Fjord boat trip, Kylemore Abbey and Connemara national park to name a few. 5 mins walk to Clifden town centre where restaurants, bars and shops are plentiful. Seafood is amazing. Will definitely be back for sure. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, especially the little touches like fresh scones left in our kitchen, and crunchie bars another day. Kids delighted x
