Tante ALMA's Hotel Lasthaus am Ring

Very nice service, very good breakfast with a good selection. Unfortunately there was no change of towels for the second night and there was no staff in the hotel at night (arrived late from the event). Very good location on the edge of town with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't working so I had to sleep with the window open but there was noise in the street until late at night and early in the morning.

As part of a concert visit, I had the opportunity to stay in this cozy hotel. As can be seen on the website, the hotel is characterized by a loving and charming concept: guests can admire and enjoy Aunt Alma's warmth and interior design style; almost as if you were visiting your own grandmother. The furniture and decoration are harmonious and pretty without being kitschy. The rooms are very clean, offer plenty of space and the beds are really super comfortable. Both the coffee morning and the small breakfast are served in Alma's living room, which is also decorated with great attention to detail. However, breakfast can be quite full and therefore a bit hectic (depending on where you sit). However, this did not bother me, as it was neither hectic nor loud, but rather gave the feeling of being part of an extended family that was always bustling. The location of the hotel is excellent thanks to its proximity to the cathedral/main train station and the bars/restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity. I was pleasantly surprised that the noises from outside could hardly be heard in the room; I was able to sleep completely undisturbed. All in all, I can recommend this hotel without reservation and would like to take this opportunity to thank the consistently pleasant and friendly staff, who immediately put a smile on your face! If I come back to Cologne, I will definitely visit Tante Alma again!
