The Otesaga Resort Hotel

A beautiful, serene, lovely experience. The views from the rocking chairs and the fire pit are reason enough to stay at this gorgeous place. It’s spotless, the staff is super snd it’s walking distance to downtown and the Hall of Fame. Would go back again and again.

My husband and I have chosen to stay at this beautiful hotel year after year. We find this hotel to be a place that we can escape to and relax. We are always greeted by the professional staff that my husband and I consider to be some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Our rooms are always spotless and the Beekman 1802 toiletries are always a plus! We brought our adult children and spouses this past weekend! They have eaten at the Otesaga but have never stayed over. They loved it! Our dinner at the Hawkeye was just fabulous! Erin took great care of us! You will never be disappointed with the food or the drinks! Edward always greeted us at the front desk. We will miss him. We were able to meet Hazel and Sarah at the front desk on this visit. They were both very sweet ! Dawn takes great care of us on every visit! Thank you Dawn. It amazes us that every employee pays attention to detail and strives to make our stays memorable. Can't wait til we visit again.

Highly recommend this resort ! Hazel,Keith,Amanda at the front desk was extremely professional, cordial, helpful, and accommodating. The housekeeping staff and maintenance staff were friendly and hard working trying hard to make every aspect of our stay pleasant. The environment (hotel and grounds)beautifully decorated and clean. The food delicious and creative. 5 stars all the way!

This is an annual overnight stay as a birthday celebration and it never disappoints. What a beautiful setting. Comfortable rooms and fabulous staff. Shout out to Andrew who greeted us at breakfast and served us afternoon tea. I have just come back from a long weekend at the Otesaga hotel and I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is gorgeous. The location is amazing. It sits right on the beautiful Otsega Lake and it's also a very quick walk into the very charming town of Cooperstown. The hotel is really well kept and it was so clean and comfortable. I loved the main lobby with the fireplace and easy outdoor access to the rocking chairs overlooking the lake. The hotel and grounds are great but the best thing about the hotel is the people who work here. I can't say enough about the staff here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I was warmly greeted the minute I walked in the door not just by the doorman but by every employee in the lobby area. Justin at the bar is a great bartender and a real asset to the hotel. He is a really nice guy with a lot of great stories. We enjoyed his company so much we went back one night instead of going out in town. He's a keeper. Dawn at the concierge desk was also wonderful. She was really nice and welcoming not just to me and my party but to everyone that walked by her desk. I sat by the fireplace which is behind her desk and I could overhear all of her conversations. She had such a warm welcome for everyone and you could tell she was going above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy. I have been coming here once a year for about three years and I am so happy to have made this an annual February tradition. This place is a gem and I can't wait to come back!

Service was great, hotel is stately and beautiful but the walls are paper thin. Slept horribly the first night with people talking all night in the room next to us. Second night we complained and b/c they weren’t busy, they blocked the room. Would only stay there again if there is a room with no one next to us. Too bad - it’s a cool place

Right from the point of getting out of our car the service was impeccable! Dan, a big thank you for your kindness! Our room was perfect! The bed so comfortable ! We had a lovely dinner in the Hawkeye Grill but when we returned to our rooms we were accosted by the LOUD music from the band playing in the Lower Lobby. Why book rooms right on top of the Band? It was a horrible experience. We won't be returning.

The Otesaga is our "go to" for a relaxing getaway. Dawn and Edward went out of their way to welcome us back to our home away from home. Dan is our favorite bartender in the HawkEye Grill. We also love the Beekman products that are offered in the hotel rooms. Our rooms are always spotless and nice and quiet. We enjoyed our meals at the Hawk Eye. Can't wait to return in January!
