Checked in and asked for a late check out the following day due to late afternoon wedding and we were told they don't do late check outs ever. Entered room and found ants in bathroom along shower and on counter top also hole in wall under sink. Advised person at front desk and he said he would make a note and have it taken care of the following day because he was the only one there. I asked for a different room and he said they were booked. He looked in the room behind the front desk for ant spray so I use it but said there was none. I then told him something needed to be done and to call his manager to get it resolved. Went back to my room and explained this to my wife. At this point we were quite upset. We then decided to leave and get food and when we returned I again asked what was going to be done and was told nothing until the following day. We went back unto our room #211 and tried to relax. After about an hour we decided to go out for drinks and on the way out told the clerk we were very upset and something needed to be done to resolve this but we were leaving for a while and made it clear to stay out of our room until we returned and again he said he couldn't leave the front desk anyway because he was alone. We left and made it to the first traffic light and decided to turn around and go back get a refund and find a different place to stay. We were gone about 5-8 minutes in all. My wife stayed outside while I went in. When I went inside to the front desk nobody was there so I called out for help thinking he was in the room behind the desk but there was no answer. I then went to our second floor room and found the clerk at the door getting ready to enter. He was quite shocked and said he wasn't going to go in then I called him a liar and pointed out the fact he didn't even have any ant spray. He then said I told him he could go in. At this point I was enraged because we made it clear to stay out until we returned. I had even put a sugar packet on the door so I would know if it was opened. He then started walk away very fast and tell me to pack and leave without a refund. When I started to follow him he turned and stopped and we bumped into each other, then he asked I was going to hit him. I assured him I wouldn't . This was all recorded by their cameras. He then called the police and told them I assaulted him and to come evict us and locked himself in the front desk room. My wife in the lobby when the police arrived and he came out. He then changed his story and said it was a misunderstanding. We explained what happened to the police and ended up staying the night. When we returned home I was able to get a hold of the general manager and he refused to any thing about the situation and said the employee was only trying to help us. More lies.

Honestly I’m so confused about the rating that I should give to this hotel. First I’d like to give a big sour out to Marcus (one of the managers there) he helped us with the confusion that the front desk had regarding our complimentary breakfast. We really appreciate his help. The rooms could use a renovation the key were outdated, the screen o our window was broken. The bathroom was outdated as well the sink and bathtub faucets need to be changed. The staff need lots of training, the housekeeping team had to get their manager to communicate with us as they couldn’t speak English (they only spoke spanish) The front desk lady was talking to us while eating and she had lots of partially chewed food in her mouth while talking to us which wasn’t professional and it didn’t look pleasant at all. The person who worked at the front desk at night was so unfriendly and unprofessional when we called him at 1:30am for very loud noises that were coming from above and lasted for a good two hours till around 3:30am. Even when you go for the hot breakfast buffet, the staff who’s in charge for taking your orders and room numbers was aggressive in the beginning and took our orders while he was seated with his legs crossed, we felt like students standing infront of our teacher,,, although he came to us and told us that he knew he was rude and explained that he did that as people previously complained that they should’ve been told the price of the buffet before they ate as they didn’t want to pay. I think all the staff need to lots of training. Hopefully Adam the new manager does something about it, he listened to our concerns and said that he will look into it.

I would have given it a zero rating. The was under renovation now, with dust and ducts and cords scattered around. Front desk was practically non-existent; you need to ring a bell to talk to a staff member. Rooms were SO dirty, with so many stains on the carpet. Smelly bathroom. Stained pillows and towels. AC smelt like homeless shelter. I changed 3 rooms, either because the lights could not be turned on or AC temperature adjustment was down. I never imagined Hilton could have such a place under their brand. The only thing admirable was the front desk staff, always calm and poised at my complaints. Shouldn't such a hotel be closed temporarily for renovation?

The shared double room was good. The staff are generally friendly. I think the inside of the hotel is being cleaned cleanly.

The hotel is very good, the health is good, the bed is a bit high haha. In short, is it good?

#Praise# Satisfied with bedding comfort, safety, cost-effectiveness, adjacent restaurants, toiletries; stayed at the hotel for two nights and felt very good! The room layout is reasonable and the facilities are complete; the staff service attitude is very good; especially the buffet breakfast is rich in variety. The only regret is that Wi-Fi in the room is basically not received.

I want to take a moment to applied this wonderful and almost hidden property here in Irvine California. My family and I have stayed at Hotel Irvine for the past five years during Fourth of July to keep our pets calm and relax. That is a lovely property (see my T.A. Review for our experience there as well...) and we were sad when we heard they were closed due to the health crisis that we hope will pass. When we arrived, we were greeted with authentic and happy staff members to check us in. This is always a great sign of a soon to be successful visit. We took care of the paperwork which took about one We arrived in the evening and we were greeted with big smiles from a very welcoming staff. Very wonderful first impression and it only took one or two minutes at the most to complete the paperwork and we were invited to our room. The room is clean and has the amenities for cooking with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, as well as dishes that made it seem like home right away. The bathroom was extremely clean and even we were treated with designer soap and shampoo that we never had it any other properties which might not seem like much, but it really is a nice touch to show that this organization invests in their guest’s stay. It is a unique time to travel in the world but my family and I just simply don’t really wear masks or anything like that because we are healthy and we stay out of public places for the most part. No one at the staff was pushing us to live or act a certain way, but they all had masks on and we’re very pleasant about what we have to do in this time. Just to clarify, we are not against wearing masks… We were just excited to leave our home and the fireworks behind and just walked in the building without them on because there were no signs to say otherwise. We were not met with any attitude to do anything different or so. We were just greeted with a warm welcome and the staff was pleasant at all hours of the day and night when we needed anything. There is an on-site laundry facility as well as generous snacks that one can pay for in a room that is adjacent to the wonderful gym that is accessible 24 hours a day and the staff will allow one or two members in the gym at a time. When a person finishes working out or training, they will close the gym until they clean it and make it welcoming for the next guest. This is a great touch and I used this wonderful gym that was more than accommodating. The reason why I am leaving this review is I’m still on the property and every time we go to walk our dogs outside, we meet a new staff member or just simply walked by someone we haven’t seen, and they are always smiling and checking on us and making us feel welcome. Any property can have the finest amenities and greatest location, all of these things are great… But this property has great people that take care of their guests and this is the best experience my family and I have invested in in our 10 years in California. My Fiancee and I stayed 2 nights at the Ayres Laguna Woods 8/26-8/28 room 123. Housekeeping is frequently The floors were absolutely filthy! Unfortunately, we neglected to pack our slippers. I have attached photos of our feet 30 min after showering and walking around only inside the room. In addition, a photo of a washcloth with only a small amount of water dampening the cloth. The floors had obviously not been mopped in a very LONG TIME. In addition, the Mattress was broken down, the box springs squeeked loudly at the slightest movement. I must state that it was difficult for me to write this review as I have worked in the Hospitality and more specifically the Hotel/Resort industry for many years. Even more specifically I have worked within and lead the Rooms Divisions of multiple Hotel Brands and Regions. I always over look the small stuff as Housekeeping can be a thankless and under appreciated element of a Guests stay. I attempted to speak with a Manager upon our departure Sunday morning but was informed that no Manager was available for me to speak with. I typically don't write reviews, particularly negative one's but in this case I had to make an exception and can not in good faith recommend this Hotel.

This was the second time we stayed here. Though we checked in late, the front desk staff was still very accommodating and friendly, the rooms were clean and smelled really fresh when we got inside. The TV remote was even wrapped for sanitation. We checked out after 3 days of stay, half way towards LA we find out that my sister left her phone at the room. We immediately called the hotel and spoke with their front desk. They safe kept my sisters phone and when we came back they hand it to us. We really appreciate there honesty. Kudos to all their staff! I highly recommend this hotel when in Lake forest or nearby areas. Enrique

Great time in Laguna beach. The hotel staff was friendly. We enjoyed eating dinner on the dining table rooftop watching the sunset. Only gripe is it would have been nice to have a microwave. Overall great stay.
